  1. Kind of a weird region wide event, but I'll take it.
  2. Looks like an inch now. I'm afraid to look at the radar!
  3. Coming down pretty decent now with much larger flakes.
  4. Wow! The GFS shows a good chance of another significant cold shot about a week out now. Totally insane!
  5. This is one case where being so cold really saved us.
  6. Oh boy! That area of precip coming in from the WSW is getting heavier as it progresses.
  7. Hard to tell with a situation like this. Stuff can come out of nowhere with these dynamics.
  8. The intensity is finally picking up here. Been snowing for about 5 hours and still not even a half inch, but still fun to watch.
  9. It appears the Friday system will definitely be snow. I would have to guess yes considering how fresh the cold air mass will be tomorrow. Friday night could come down to how solidly any south wind is able to get in here. The ICON keeps the unfavorable gradient a bit south of the GFS.
  10. I've had about a quarter inch here so far. I'm hoping it can get heavier with that stuff approaching from the WSW.
  11. The Central Puget Sound looks golden right now. Heavier echoes approaching Seattle from both the WSW and the NNW. Could get good for many.
  12. SEA smashed their record low max for the day by 6 degrees. Very nice!
  13. SEA checks in with a -14 departure today. #seriouscoldsnap
  14. Pretty good area of snow over Mason County moving toward the ENE. Very favorable.
  15. Holy crap! The radar just exploded when the northern moisture met the southern. Snow is slowly picking up here now.
  16. Looking fabulous for King County right now. Stuff filling in from the north and south.
  17. Amazing to have it this cold while it's snowing this early in the evening and this late in the season. Good stuff!
  18. It should start there any minute. I love what I'm seeing on the radar right now.
  19. The radar looks extremely promising for King County. Interesting looking dynamics.
  20. That moisture is really blasting down the Sound now. I'm interested to see when it meets up with the moisture just south of Seattle.
  21. We ended up at -20 or a bit lower in December 1968. I'm betting late January 1893 probably dropped to about -25 based on how cold it got.
  22. Moisture from the NW is making its move now toward Seattle.
