  1. I know its bad... we use it sparingly and will probably get rid of more of the lawn soon here.
  2. 71 and totally sunny here... another perfect day. Its been a nice run of 5 mostly beautiful days in a row and greatly appreciated.
  3. I wanted to add a little water to dissolve the pellets. Heavy rain washes it away and pushes it into piles. I can control the dissolving process with just a little water. Then there is nothing to wash away. Its Scotts Turf Builder.
  4. Definitely! I squished my way around yard to set up the sprinklers and then add more water. We should be growing rice at this point. Hoping the grass is able to suck up the fertilizer before tomorrow.
  5. VIS is running away with it... all of his posts are tinged with sarcasm and trolling now.
  6. Ireland appears to get more hurricane action than CA.
  7. Browsing the SEA climate data... now at 46 inches of rain for the water year (since Oct 1) which is 1.5 inches above the total through this date last year which was a record at the time. SEA is 14.5 inches above normal since Oct 1... and close to 28 inches above normal since 10/1/2015. That is seriously impressive from a statistical perspective. For our Canadian friends... that is 711 mm above normal over the last 18 months.
  8. No... we had two week stretches with daily rain here in both May and June last year.
  9. Mostly my wife... who also works full time. She takes after her mother. She loves being outside and gardening. I help her and do the lawn work. Its pretty low maintenance at this point.
  10. In a wee bit of irony here... I am watering tonight. This despite the lawn still being more sponge-like than I have ever seen. I need to fertilize again and need to get it absorbed slowly before the rains return and wash it away. The neighbors walked by and could not believe I had a sprinkler on.
  11. He is clearly trolling. Wild guess here... but after the wettest winter in history and the wettest Feb-Apr in history we really don't need to be begging for rain already on May 9th. It will come and it will stick around for several days. It sucks... but its the way it goes. Be nice to have one day of rain and then go back to this weather but it rarely works that way in the spring.
  12. Yeah... ECMWF looks terrible as well. The weekend is a total washout and well beyond.
  13. Interesting... just noticed that average high at SEA actually dips between 5/19 - 5/22 as well.
  14. I am definitely going to cheer for Jesse and Phil's misery more specifically now. Can't wait for the miserable heat and humidity to engulf the swamp of DC. And summer will probably be just perfect here. Maybe a warm, dry fall to follow?
  15. You are the only one trolling. And it has been visually gorgeous.
