  1. 12Z ECMWF removes the snow threat completely for Sunday... even for Bellingham. Looks like some snow mixing in now close to our house. Could not be more happy to miss out on this week there. Probably the best week of the year to NOT be home. http://146.129.248.180/northbend.html Its 9 a.m. here now... time to shutdown the laptop and wake everyone up.
  2. 12Z GFS certainly flirts with possibilities... so good outflow on that run as well.
  3. With this? Seems too warm... http://www.ecmwf.int/products/forecasts/d/getchart/catalog/products/forecasts/medium/deterministic/msl_uv850_z500!Geopotential%20500%20hPa%20and%20Temperature%20at%20850%20hPa!144!North%20America!pop!od!oper!public_plots!2014021800!!chart.gif
  4. ECMWF has been consistent showing nice weather next week and nothing this weekend. 00Z ECMWF follows suit.
  5. I see there was snow at Tiger Summit last night... not sure if there was snow at my house though. Looks like the lowest temp was 35. Snoqualmie Pass looks insane this morning. They will probably have above average snowpack by the end of this week! Good to go for summer in a matter of a couple weeks.
  6. Some good maps though. Checking in... looks like quite an active night per the radar. Guessing that will be turning to snow at my house soon.
  7. Kevin... you should definitely stay. Layover now in LA... dry and smoggy here. Yuck. 5 hour flight is next. No Jesse... I don't want a SoCal climate in the PNW. Don't get all dramatic. I can appreciate some rain.
  8. On the plane Jesse... don't freak out. There is wifi on planes now.
  9. Next week does not look gunky on that run. Hoping to come back to beautiful weather.
  10. An inch of snow here as well this morning. I was very surprised. The parameters are not favorable for my location and the flow is strongly onshore. I did notice that we had almost no wind last night though... the angle must have been just slightly different than a normal frontal passage when its very windy here. Any wind would have prevented snow but its dead calm out there now. I also think there must have been heavy enough precip to artificially lower the snow level at some point because its 35 right now.
  11. Yeah... SEA-EAT was running about -9 all day.
  12. Here is an extra one... Side note... I see a few gusts into the 40s now around the Sound.
  13. Heading out tomorrow. The mobile page for this site is the first bookmark on my phone. It take 2 minutes of down time to check in from anywhere on the planet.

  15. Finally a lightning strike off the coast: http://s30.postimg.org/fwlgbcif5/lightning2.jpg
  16. Now this is fun to watch... Campbell River airport is now solidly all snow and accumulating. The live stream makes it sort of fun. http://www.crairport.ca/webcam.php Check out the bottom one... the top one is now caked in snow.
  17. Hope no one was out there enjoying the nice afternoon on that patio table.

  19. Exactly. Packing is something you don't interfere with...just give her space
  20. Excellent choice. Any of the Saw movies are great for pre-teens and elementary school kids as well.
