Hey Tom--what about this snow band expected to come thru our area this afternoon?

Hey Tom I am just east of you --just have an inch and a half on the grassy areas only

that is twice in one week The national weather Service has blown a snow forecast here

AND another bust for the Chicago area two blown wwa"s in one week for the weather service

Looks like this winter went out of its way to aggravate us..Periods of very cold weather with no storms anywhere.. Then we start a very stormy period with no cold air around.

A week to build up that snow cover --3 days to take it down

well at least we had one great week

We should give kudos to Tom . For weeks he had been telling us that the first week of Feburary would be wild, and it delivered over 18 inches of Snow! so boy did it come thru. anything more to look forward to Tom?

Received 4 inch total on last wave--15 inch base on the ground--quite a weekend --the down side was all the good snows occured in the middle of the night, no pleasure from the actual snowfall

The NWS forecast was for all of cook county, not just the southern suburbs--so that was not a good call

sorry Tom , but how was this close to what was expected when the nws was caliling for 10-14" plus

up to 7 inches here--very easy to measure

No kidding. This is how I would describe this winter which we had such high hopes for. The November Noshow---The December Dissapointment--The January Jilt -and most likely the Feburary Fizzle which will lead to us getting March Madness

Am I in the right thread?
