  1. We essentially went from December 2008 to February 2014 without a significant snow that lasted more than a few hours.
  2. I hate break up the festival de melancholy but Tuesday on the Canadian is, yeah......................... pretty dry.
  3. Just living two winters in north central WA amplifies this point. Snow events in areas outside our shaky region quickly changes perceptions. Without exasperation, there's far less pay off.
  4. I thought Covington was the Puget Sound's best kept secret for snow and cold?
  5. Weren't you all sandy-vaginaed earlier today about the fact you weren't gonna get anything?
  6. Doesn't change much, it's just a pretty odd progression in the upper levels.
  7. That is one goofy a** setup next weekend on the 0z.
  8. Too bad the moisture went to for Tuesday, the 0z definitely has the cold part right.
  9. Meanwhile, PDX trying to sneak over the 15 inch mark for the month. Could be a dog fight...
  10. It's almost like when it's cold enough there isn't enough moisture and when there's enough moisture it's too warm. May have to look into that.
  11. NAM is too warm for Tuesday with quite a bit of southerly flow.
  12. I don't think timing was/is as relevant as people think. If the air mass supports it, the entire column will cool to freezing whenever. Timing is more about efficiency of accumulation.
  13. Yeah... There's pretty much no houses whatsoever east of I-205.
  14. Massively critical. 34 degree freighttrain rolling in from The Dalles.
  15. Tenative setup which was dependent on deep wet bulb cooling. There's not much else to it.
  16. Yeah, all the models have been iffy with precip placement. Compact system and a tenative thermal profile.
  17. 18z NAM says we're all gonna be sweating bullets once again Tuesday night.
