  1. We had a rain shower about 1hr ago, otherwise it has been mostly dry here!
  2. The forum is kind of dead, must be spring! I am kind of hoping for El Niño since it seems like we can't get much in the way of snow around puget sound with La Niña or Neutral conditions anymore. But I do have fond memories of Nov 2006 and Jan of 2007.
  3. Been a pretty dry day in my area. We did have a few hours of light to moderate rain this evening but have since dried out again. Currently 52 degrees. Still only 41 in Lynden!
  4. Still only around 40 up at Lynden, meanwhile it was 60 in Everett while driving back up from Kirkland a bit ago. 56 at my house. The cold air is so close, yet so far away.
  5. We really need to get that arctic air a "Good To Go Pass" Apparently the good stuff is not allowed to cross the border looking at that map We need a deep low to pass straight into the Oregon/Wa border to draw that good air down!
  6. Does the 00z show the arctic blast as well?
  7. Moderate to heavy shower overhead right now, but have not seen any lightning yet as I look out my window towards the cascades.
  8. What is the latest time frame in March where we have had a region wide true arctic blast? Snow & cold that lasted more than a day or two.
  9. When I checked the pass report for Snoqualmie at 6AM the temp was at 33 degrees, now 3hrs later its at 23! Pass is closed probably for a while for snow and trees on roadway. Glad I am not traveling over the pass this week. Easterly winds must have kicked back in to drop the temp that much?
  10. That timeframe has always been difficult for me, seems like we go through phases up here with two or three lousy springs followed by one or two nice springs. But the spring of 2010, 2011, & 2012 were all just terrible and the last one sealed the deal. Three in a row tipped me over the edge! Does seem like springs have been slowly getting worse and worse with the exception of last year.
  11. Living here in the Stanwood/Arlington area my entire life (37yrs) and working outside for nearly 20 of those years, about the last 3 or 4yrs I would just dread the Jan-June timeframe. Each year it got harder and harder to go out and work in 39 degree drizzle day after day after day, to the point where I completely abandoned my profession (landscaping & Golf Course turf managment) to start a all new profession and NOT working outside. I love this state and will never move away Washington, but I will eventually move somewhere on the east slopes. Gray and drizzle in late winter and early spring is just horrible for me. At least I am no longer freezing my a** off 5 days a week
  12. Rain shadow moved north a tad, getting pounded by rain now
  13. So glad for the rain shadow on days like this! Dry and just a little breezy here. Makes it much nicer for excersizing the dogs!
  14. Hopefully the ice will be mostly off the lines by the time the wind comes!
  15. How's it going with the icing? Still have power?
  16. I am lucky in the rain shadow, high and dry here!
  17. Tim just wants nice weather so he and his family can take out their boat and enjoy the water on a nice sunny day. Wait...that is what I want as well! Bring on spring! Rain at night twice a week, but sunny and warm every day! That is my wish!
  18. Astoria!I wish. Not sure. Mr. Snowmizer would know, though!
  19. After looking at the cams around the border area, it looks like Sumas is the place to be today! Currently 35 with a DP of 29 here and cloudy.
  20. 27 degrees currently in Lynden, they should be having some fun today! 34 degrees currently here and cloudy.
  21. how far south has it trended over the last few days?
  22. I saw a few days ago an article somewhere about how the Pac Northwest is expected to have a hot and dry summer? I would be ok with that! Hopefully we will have a nice spring like we had last year as well.
  23. Hopefully I stay in the negatives tonight!
