  1. Sooo...what is the status on potential snow next week in the lowlands? Looks like NWS Seattle is calling for 1,500ft on average snow levels next week. Did things warm up in the models?
  2. Was sure windy around here last night, was a nice change over the doldrums we have been having. Have fun in Hawaii!
  3. Very windy here right now, had a few gusts near 50mph from the sounds of it. Power has been flickering but haven't lost it yet.
  4. NWS Seattle is even mentioning T-Storms are a possibility on the coast and even inland.
  5. Wow, I just watched a video about the 100 car pile up in Pennsylvania. I have a feeling many people back east would wish anything to shift their cold and snow over to the west coast. What a winter they have had. Feels like a early spring day with 52 degrees and sunbreaks. Quite breezy as well, love days like this!
  6. I feel like wind is just as hard to predict as snow around here. Some of my greatest windstorms for my area were under predicted. Especially west wind events for my location. As with the snow last week, models can be slightly off with WAY different outcomes.
  7. Guess everyone is still waiting for the 00z's!
  8. Somebody call me Moss has not been as bad as last winter so far!
  9. Thanks, im hoping for a good pscz! I would like to see a little more snow before heading into spring.
  10. Not much talk about the upcoming weeks...snow threats diminished?
  11. Was in Yakima this morning, looks like they had nearly a foot of snow...I did not want to leave! It was 21 degrees when I arrived, felt great! Now back to the rain, like Tim mentioned, it felt down right warm outside when I got back.
  12. It gives the landscape a pure, untouched look that cannot be equaled by anything else. I also love how it brightens the interior of the house, more so than even a sunny summer day! Also I cannot lie, I love driving in it!
  13. I know that area very well, I get gas at that Shell station and Starbucks across the street as well every Tuesday morning! I wonder if there will be any snow left when I am there tomorrow morning?
  14. How do you think my drive to Yakima will be tomorrow morning for work? I will hit Snoqualmie Pass around 5:30AM and again on the way back around noonish. Looking at the forecast it is either going to be rain, or freezing rain, or snow depending on which forecast I look at. I am worried about making it back over the pass before the storm hits, looks like the WSW becomes effective at noon tomorrow. Going to be one of those last minute calls if I am going to attempt it or not i guess!
  15. I would like a repeat of late Feb 2011 please! I am liking the PNA Forecast!
  16. Im a bit surprised Tim is not on here giving us every possible reason why it won't snow tonight!
  17. My temp is also down to 35 from a high of 37. Current DP is 27.
  18. We have also had some flakes falling here and there. All the snow from overnight is now gone with a temp of 36 degrees.
  19. I still cannot believe you had no sub freezing highs. I think on one of the days last week I had a high of 26!
  20. Sounds like you had the same low temp of 10 and the two sub freezing highs. The only thing that would have made this better is if we would have gone into the cold snap with snow on the ground. I love that feeling where you know it will stay white for many days. Oh well. Snow is melting quick right now, down to just a trace here and there. Currently 36 degrees. The roads were awful this morning, shear ice with snow on top, was hearing sirens half the night and into the morning. People were not ready for what happened last night.
  21. Jim, NWS Seattle is talking about 5,500FT snow levels in the Cascades on Tuesday, do you think the passes will stay cold with Easterly flow? I didn't think we were going to warm that much so it surprised me when I saw that forecast. Doing my weekly drive to E Wa, this week it will be to Yakima. Hopefully they will still have lots of snow over there!
