There is probably a warm tongue near the foothills to the east. I heard a little sleet earlier, but it is definitely snow right now.

Much lighter snow now, but heavier echoes down south moving this way. If I can stay for another couple of hours I could get a couple of inches.

Snow has stopped here for the last 15 minutes. Radar returns have been healthier down south towards Woodburn.

Legitimate snow is now falling. Light, but not just a puny little flurry anymore!

Finally starting to see a few more flakes flying. We will see if it ever gets heavy enough to accumulate.

I am now seeing a snow rate of about 1 flake per 3 seconds.

Well the band has reached me on the radar, but the flurries have actually stopped. #wintercancel

Pretty breezy all last night and now. That is why I am surprised these weak radar returns are letting snow reach the ground. Should be a good sign. .

The HRRRRRRRR is starting to look very moist for Portland today. It seems to do pretty well in situations like this.

Looks like some light moisture is trying to build in the area around Corvallis.

It looks like it is freezing rain down by Eugene judging by a few Facebook comments.

They definitely sound pretty scared in their latest discussion. Should be an interesting day regardless of the outcome.
