  1. Crescent City in far northern California has been getting some gusty winds for the last 30 minutes. I would think Oregon coast locations should start seeing a ramp up soon. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/getobext.php?wfo=eka&sid=KCEC&num=72&raw=0
  2. Looks like some breezy south winds have shown up at Eugene. Still nothing impressive at any central Oregon coast locations.
  3. There is a pretty decent eastern gradient building up through the gorge now.
  4. Yeah. I have been talking to people at work and people are buying into this being a big time storm. Someone up in Washington is going to get nailed pretty good, but it won't be anything super notable down here.
  5. Anyone think PDX might not see a gust over 45 mph? I think the public is going to be pretty upset about the big media blowup once this afternoon turns out to be unimpressive down here.
  6. This heavy line of rain just keeps hitting me with the way it is oriented. I wish I had a rain gauge. Getting pounded.
  7. The line that is going through here has some ridiculous rain with it. The streets are turning into creeks.
  8. It has been pretty breezy, but I still think we will see higher gusts tomorrow afternoon/evening.
  9. Looks like there was some pretty bad damage in Manzanita with that tornado. Crazy stuff at the coast this morning
  10. It is only a matter of time before the Euro starts to look more reasonable for the storm on Saturday.
  11. I am really surprised to see that the Euro didn't change to look more like the GFS. Should be some fun model riding for the next couple of days.
  12. Yeah, the Euro is showing a severe windstorm while the GFS is just a breezy day down here. If I had to bet I would probably go with the GFS, but who knows?
  13. This stormy episode coming up is looking very interesting. Some areas might get hit hard.
  14. Changing my picture was a subtle way to announce my 2016-17 winter forecast. PDX will get 47 inches of snow in December. Nothing for the rest of the season.
