  2. @TomStarted one...ready to Rock N Roll.....
  3. Some real good hits for S MI and for others as well.
  4. Could this be the big one for many that have not seen one yet this winter??!! Lets discuss...looking like a fun week of excitement in the weather dept. for some.
  5. Here are some pics when I was in Chicago this weekend..... From my hotel, I had Lake Michigan view. What a way to wake up and have some Greek coffee. Oh, btw: the breakfast was so delicious. I had to go twice downstairs for seconds.
  6. I was on the 29th Floor and all you can see was a thick white fog of heavy snow. I had just gotten in from dinner at about 8:30ish or, maybe a little earlier and then, suddenly, I looked across the window from my kitchen area and it seemed kinda whitish out there, so, I literally ran to the window and saw this low visibility of hvy snow. Excellent timing for Ma Nature to give us a snowfall, while I was there. "The Magical Friday Night." The visit was absolutely awesome. Totally enjoyed all types of food. I always enjoy visiting Chicago. Also, this city has such great food, my goodness.
  7. Its really coming down now....moderately. Forecast calling for 1-3 inches. Everything snow covered. I guess I had to come to Chicago to see some snow this winter.
  8. Nice band of snow about to hit the Chicago area.
  9. Best Pizza ever for sure!!! Magnificent Mile and St. Clair are the crossroads. I think the river is facing south of my hotel. Sounds like a great idea, I will definitely let you know. My treat!
  10. Hellllloooooo from Chicago!! Beautiful morning, under partly to mostly cloudy skies, but cold. Current temp at 21F. Great city to be in. Always enjoy coming here, whether on business or pleasure. I am staying in the heart of downtown Chicago near, half a block from Magnificent Mile. Was walking last night inthe city and ma, that wind was howling, along w/ a biting wcf. Windy city living up to its name I guess. @TomHave ya ever been to Gino's Pizzaria? That is where I had dinner last night. It also has a rooftop for the summer and I was chatting w/ the owner there an told me that during the warm months, you litterally have to wait an hr or so for a table up there. Yikes. I guess its worth it though. Pizza was AMAZINGGGGG. Ordered a thick crust pie and waited for about 45 min or so at the bar w/ couple of drinks. Will post pics soon.
  11. Believe it or not, I am seeing the overcast in the skies break a little. This is not turning out to be as bad as was predicted, thankfully. So far, so good. Currently, very light freezing drizzle from what I am I seeing. Temp is at 32F. I do see some icy spots on car-tops, roofs, and my driveway looks a little treacherous.
  12. Here too! Everything is iced up. I can hear sleet pellets hitting my window. Just ......Uggh! Cant even describe it in words.....
  13. WOW! You are Da Man! Thanks for all of this info.
  14. @Tom am going to be in Chicago on Friday for a business brunch. I will be in the heart of downtown, so, do you know any great spots for a quick bite?!
  15. Lets hope we can avoid the freezing rain. Not a fan of ice. Fingers cross.
  16. This is truly a tough forecast. Give me 3ft of snow, than 0.25 or even less" of ice. Those ice numbers to our south are insane. Catastrophic levels perhaps?! Wishing anyone who gets this crazy ice best of luck. Hopefully my area gets snow and sleet only, avoiding the danger stuff. Thankfully, all of this is outta here by late tanite.
  17. I think freezing rain will have a tough time making it this far north, then again, who knows. Radar showing some snow knocking at my doorstep. Temps holding steady in the low 30s.
  18. Looking forward 50F here next week w a nice rainer. As we get near March now, Spring mode starts kicking in.
  19. https://www.wunderground.com/forecast/us/mi/macomb I hope ur right!!
  20. I know amigo...I just came back from Greece yesterday..and man, what a change of climate I came to. Dealing w/ this now is not welcoming from me. I hope after this icestorm, we go straight to Met spring. Safe travels bud!
  21. Its going to be a nightmare in Macomb County and of course plenty of other places as well.. They are calling for several inches of snow here in mby and ice accumulations on top of that. Tough forecast for sure, when it comes to ice. Temps tomorrow stay below freezing. Gotta keep an eye and see how far that WF makes it north. Btw: Snowfall running way BN here in the DTW metro airport. Not seeing this number going too far. Currently, I think we are at 17 or 18" for the season.
  22. Absolutely gorgeous outside. Sunny skies and not a cloud to be found. Temps are approaching 50F. Still some patchy snow piles here and there, but after these beautiful mild days, I think I am ready for spring. I'll give it till end of Feb and even until early March and thats it. Hopefully next year bolds better. BTW: congrats chiefs!!
