  1. Been normal, beautiful summer weather here so not all that out of the ordinary. The last 6 years skewed expectations.
  2. It'll flip one day. It did for me this last winter. Was going through the most paltry snow stretch of my life from Feb 2014 through this past Feb with only one event that dropped 3" IMBY, all the other events were way less significant. Then Eugene/Springfield got clubbed.
  3. You post more than anyone here by a significant margin. How are we not supposed to focus on your desires when you share them constantly?
  4. In June of 2010 Mahut and Isner played for 2 days once because no one could get 2 set points ahead.
  5. Last week of July and the first week of August are usually the hottest and driest 2 weeks of the year correct?
  6. Looks like 84F will be the high for downtown Springfield.
  7. So does that change the fact that we are more at the mercy of the upper-level conditions down here as opposed to Seattle? 81F in downtown Springfield.
  8. What do you think would be a more accurate way to say we pay for it more during the cold season? I guess putting it a different way, feels to me like we have less snow than up there and in W Wa. It's as if we are further south and don't have a useful cold air source (Columbia Gorge or Fraser Valley) nearby.
  9. We pay for it by being way more at the mercy of upper-level conditions for goodies in the cold season. Need a strong cross-Cascade gradient/mountain wave event a lot of times to get a good snowstorm, which was notably absent for a lot of the 2000s. The 2010s have been a lot better but most years you pull out of a hat have less than an inch of snow.
  10. Bask in it and make sure you commemorate the event so we are all well-aware of your enjoyment of it.
  11. Same amount here. Goose egg. Much as I enjoy the cooler summer than the last several years, rain is fine, I just like it more when it's at night. Tim, maybe you can spend some more time south of you if you have vacation time in the summer. We have had almost exclusively beautiful summer weather since late April here.
  12. Hasn't it been showing a warm-up past 8 days that always keeps getting pushed back? Like the past several winters with models taking goodies away when we got within a week, up until Feb?
  13. 66F and mostly sunny this morning. S valley has had a beautiful summer so far.
  14. Can’t sleep. Gonna be plenty of these during night shift this fall.
  15. Nice night. Some cirrus so not the best star watching night.
  16. As long as the s valley doesn’t go through a coldless, barren wasteland like 1999-2003 it’ll be just fine.
  17. Looks like a near perfect day on tap. Mid 80s and clear skies.
  18. Worried about this with a bunch of notable quakes recently against the North American plate. Matter of time before a major disaster here in NW Oregon.
  19. Pleasant 66F out there. Should be a nice weekend for the kiddos to get outside plenty.
