  1. If I look on google maps is there a giant angry emoji marking the location of your home?
  2. Threading the needle indeed. I'm glad to be by the Gorge right now, but fully realize a very slight shift could render it moot.
  3. No, but I remember the group being made because a few people got kicked off the Fox 12 blog and went rogue, then Mark finding out about it and getting mad. Still chuckle about that to this day sometimes. If anyone thinks this place is unreadable and full of drama, they should have seen some of the old facebook weather groups. Insane. Andrew is insane.
  4. I’m sure Rob would welcum me with open arms Andrew. I learned not to mix Facebook friends and weather fiends a looooong time ago though
  5. Right now things are moving in the right direction at least. Big picture is the undercutting idea started by the Euro yesterday morning has for now been abandoned by the Euro, and it has backpeddled a bit toward the GFS. Cant ask for much more given how the trends were looking yesterday unless of course you are a massive, insufferable weenie like Andrew Greenlaugh Johnson. :’)
  6. You definitely haven’t gotten any less irritating in the last five years! 1/3/16 was a great little snow event.
  7. Definite step in the right direction for the Euro.
  8. The Dalles got down to like -20c at 850mb on the 12z GFS...
  9. 37 and cloudy here this morning. DP down around freezing. Definite nip in the air!
  10. I think you are giving it more credit to “see” the effects of snowcover than it deserves. It’s just a really cold airmass east of the Cascades and spilling through the Gorge.
  11. Great to see things stay cold/trend colder. This is the stage where I am fine with moderation/pacific moisture staying away in the mid range. It’s not like it would take all that much of a tweak for some to get up here.
  12. At least we aren’t seeing massive undercutting with 50 degree rain this weekend for areas south of Olympia. Thats what I was half expecting to see this morning judging by the trends yesterday. Looks like cold air and suppressed jet is still very much in play on this run. I’d take that any day over lows gradually trending up to Juneau.
  13. Yeah. One thing I think tends to get a little bit lost here is that sometimes just because there isn't pretty deep blue over us on the 500mb anomaly map doesn't tell you much about what the low levels are doing in situations like this. Especially with a beastly airmass relatively close by and the Pacific fairly blocked up.
  14. It's been flailing a little too much to call it that.
  15. I think if we are talking about consistency the GFS actually beats the Euro pretty handily the last 24 hours.
  16. Stub your toe? I hate when people leave their TPV out in the middle of the floor.
  17. I can feel the forum collectively holding its breath.
