Iowa hasn't missed out on many storms this year I can't imagine they won't get something out of this.

To much time left don't you think. KC can get screwed like no other with storms like this.

2nd wave on the GFS keeps snow going all day Thursday

If it pans out I hope your feeling good enough to enjoy it. I know you were hoping for some warmer weather but that doesn't look to be headed your way anytime soon.

The Control has been showing ridiculous amounts at times with this storm. Some runs have shown more than this and I didn't share them because it seemed so far out there.

Wow @jaster220and @Niko really get pounded. I like where KC is in this, we have some wiggle room. The most likely outcome will probably be a compromise between the Euro and GFS and that should serve us well.

Sign me up for this long duration moderate snow event with nice totals.

12Z GEFS

12z GFS is a destructive storm here, lots of ice and 3 or 4 inches of wet snow on top. Lets hope for a colder solution next time.

EAX is gaining some confidence with this storm, but still cautious which is smart for KC.

It's going to be a great weekend to get outside in KC ahead of next weeks storm. Temps look to be in the 40s for the Chiefs game Sunday as we go for 3rd straight Super bowl appearance. I'll never forget last weeks game and what Andy Reid told Mahomes with 13 seconds left in the game. "When things look grim, be the Grim Reaper."

We seem to be in a great spot, whether the models shift north or south we stay in warning level snow band. It's good to have a storm produce such a expansive snow shield.

0z GEFS ensembles are coming around. KC, Chicago, and southern Michigan look good as of now.
