  1. Evening commute could be fun over there. A quick thump of heavy wet snow late this afternoon. Maybe 2-3” at higher levels. Too bad tomorrow is looking like 2” of rain and temps in the mid 40s. I wonder if the far Northern sections of east Vancouver island might not mix out later tonight. Somewhere up around Campbell River could get a lot of snow inland from the ocean.
  2. Been snowing lightly here the past hour or so. The snow is melting faster than it’s falling though with a temp in the mid 30s and a bright overcast sky.
  3. Outside of that week in January it’s been a pretty big snooze fest of a winter. Cloudy, mild and occasionally damp. The only 2 events that stick out in my mind are the January event and the wacky October snowstorm here.
  4. Yea. I agree. A lot of home grown heat on top of the occasional bulge northward from the 4CH.
  5. It was -18F up near our cabin this morning. Perhaps that arctic boundary will suddenly surge south.
  6. Guess it didn’t snow down in town. Just got a text from a customer asking for a lawn cut today.
  7. 26F. Snow looked good last night under clear skies and a bright moon. NAM suggests a lot of areas will see a little snow on the back side of the front tomorrow night.
  8. Models kind of let you down on this one. Good thing you took your Christmas lights down.
  9. Looking at the radar I figured someone was scoring a decent event.
  10. Mine is 900. Nothing crazy but compared to my old maglight I’ve had for 30ish years, this one appears like it has harnessed the power of the sun.
  11. I had the flashlight shinning out the window recently too. On and off flurries here. A solid inch on the ground.
  12. 60” in Nanaimo is legit. That’s essentially at sea level. Army is on standby if needed.
  13. Mossman getting crushed again. No surprise there!
  14. Got a nice little dusting this afternoon. About 3/4”.
  15. Moderate snow here in North Cowichan currently. Only minor stickage.
  16. Yep. Junipers start early here too. Also some alder starting up. I am not having any allergies but Jesse might not realize that not everyone suffers from allergies at the same time and to the same allergens
  17. The first line of showers has developed over Vancouver island and is sliding SE now.
  18. Decent rate for a Graupel shower. Hoping to get some of that action here later. Up to 47F here.
  19. Mother Nature and the changing seasons are trolling the poor guy.
  20. Yep. I have heard some people reporting the start of allergy season for them.
  21. I think I can make it out. As usual with these snow maps, it is probably way underdone. ️
