  1. Nam, Gfs, and gem are liking the idea of 10-15" more here between now and Thursday. Euro is lighter and quicker with the midweek transition.
  2. 14-16" depending on where you measure. We had a lot of low ratio snow the past couple days. 32-33F. It's cold this morning though. 27F.
  3. I picked up 7.2" before they issued a warning. Oops. Environment Canada missed it.
  4. It's trying for you guys down that way. 3" here since midnight. 7.2" since 2pm yesterday.
  5. I'll be bold and predict 2-4" for you between this afternoon and Tuesday. There is going to be something good in there. I have a feeling.
  6. If the outflow decides to get going later tonight. I think the South Island is positioned pretty well.
  7. A report from Chilliwack is indicating close to 30". Just a crazy storm for the Fraser valley.
  8. The roads around my place are a total joke. Probably 3-4" thick packed snow and ice, which is full of ruts and potholes. If it clears off tonight that is going to freeze solid.
  9. Snowed on and off all day up here. I haven't measured. Looks like 4-5" for today. Heavy wet stuff.
  10. I was up watching the snow several times overnight. I'm fairly excited. Just flurries here now. 3" so far today.
  11. The cold air has been hanging tough up north here. Abbotsford has dropped to 28 with blowing snow and a 25mph NE wind. Still seeing periods of snow here with snow sticking right down to sea level north of Victoria. Looks like about 2"+ since midnight. Storm total getting close to 10".
  12. The GFS is dropping some very cold air into southern BC early next week. -13c at 850mb. Might be the coldest of the season.
  13. Still snowing up here, well it started again. there was some ice pellets at times earlier. A fresh 1.4" on the snow board since midnight.
  14. Was that the night of Nov 26th, morning of the 27th in 2006......if you can remember. That was some insanely intense snowfall at Shawnigan lake with a very sharp cutoff just north of here. Seemed convective in nature. Close to a foot here that night with only about 3" in Duncan (~15miles) away. I was on the late ferry to Duke point that night and the north wind was absolutely howling around midnight. Probably 50mph. One of the roughest ferry trips I've been on, with sea spray hitting the windows.
  15. Possibly. It's been snowing steadily since about 4 or 5 am. Nothing overly heavy, mostly 1/4 to 1/2" an hour rates.
  16. Looks like a more solid deformation band will setup across southern BC later this afternoon/evening. Someone's going to get 8-10".
