400-500ft and yes, sheltered from SE winds. Just looked at Victoria for January. No sub freezing highs, their coldest was 33F.

Shawnigan lake, not too far away, is at 32.5F and the January average is 38.1F.

They are at 35.6F. Average for January is 40.3F.

Looking at the 12z 500mb ensemble there appears to be a westward shift in the push of Arctic air around day 8. Hopefully we see that represented on the spaghetti ensemble mean.

Probably. But not for me. 0z GEm is also pretty chilly after day 8.

FWIW, the CFS says both February and March stay chilly in the west.
