  1. He used to make a lot of noise about moving to Montana but that seems to have passed over the years.
  2. I think if we pray hard enough PDX could top 75F this weekend and that would ensure Jesse is miserable.
  3. Not a wine drinker myself but economic impacts are expected to be around 450 million dollars.
  4. BC vineyards in the interior are forecasting a 97-99% loss of this years grape harvest due to the January cold snap.
  5. I would assume Tim’s location gets more than 10” of rain in November
  6. Those were pretty active stormy winters. The majority of the forum likes that weather in the winter.
  7. Hiked along the dikes in Cowichan Bay this afternoon. A few rain squalls blew by but not too bad.
  8. Snowing over inland Vancouver island this evening. This webcam is around 150ft elevation on the highway to Tofino.
  9. Sort of interesting that some places will see two separate wind events in the same day today. The front earlier brought wind gusts to 60mph at Saturna island earlier. The next front is quickly approaching and winds are already back up to 46mph and should top 60mph late this evening.
  10. Actually looks a lot more like the PNW than I would have expected.
  11. Summer of 1958 was just a touch on the warm side out west.
  12. Environment Canada is on board for a pretty major wind for the coastline of southern Vancouver island tonight. SE winds gusting over 60mph. We will likely be Sheltered here in Shawnigan Lake as these events are usually most severe within a couple miles of the shoreline.
  13. Rain let up this afternoon. Temp is up to 42. A couple degrees warmer than I expected.
  14. I have to say your plot of land looks amazing. What a location and what a view. I would never give that up either.
  15. I’m only 2 meters tall not 7 ft. But you might have me confused with someone else. Definitely not an angry person. You sure you aren’t freaking out about the seasons turning. You seem a little on edge today.
  16. Classy as ever. Not sure if you’ve managed to wrap your giant head around the fact that enjoying some nice weather doesn’t actually make the nice weather happen.
  17. Probably end up around 40 for a high. Rain looks less snowy and more drizzly now though.
  18. Some wet snow mixed into the rain the past few hours. 35F.
  19. Saw a dead one today along the highway. Was gonna snap a pic for the haters to post up on their bedroom ceiling but didn’t get a chance. Maybe tomorrow.
  20. Don’t even think about getting out and enjoying some March sunshine. Stay home and think about how bad this fire season may or may not be.
  21. Many of the large fires in BC in recent years have been classified as “modified response” which means they are allowed to burn within pre determined boundaries. If they reach a trigger point then resources are dispatched to try to protect values. We messed with Mother Nature for too long and things are out of balance. Too much underbrush and too much dead wood/ standing dead timber. She is trying to bring things back into balance and I’m not really sure there is much we can do to stop it.
  22. Got really cold for a few days in December. Otherwise mild with a LOT of RAIN.
  23. Sounds promising for Mark Nelsens hiking trip.
  24. 39/32 today with light flurries and graupel showers through mid afternoon.
