  1. 43F and sunny with a gusty SW wind this afternoon.
  2. Pretty weak and disorganized. Technically the mouth of the Columbia I guess
  3. The outer coast of Vancouver island has done way better than most of the more inland areas of the BC south coast. Tofino is blanketed in white right now
  4. Enough snow to make the ground white overnight. Any chances of something significant here this weekend have seemingly fizzled. I think it’s been 16 years since the last notable snowfall (4”+) here March. (2008)
  5. Can’t be. It’s March! We are running out of precip here now. But we did pick up a slushy coating over the past couple hours.
  6. A good friend of mine remembers having a conversation with his brother about Bitcoin when it was worth around $1. He didn’t think it would catch on and neither of them ended up buying any.
  7. Haha. Sounds like he is the last one to need financial advice from us. He owns 43 bitcoin, a house, an automotive shop and a cabin on acreage. He’s got things figured out.
  8. If he holds onto them for a little longer he’ll probably have millions more.
  9. Maybe we will see a sudden pattern flip like in March 2019 after the SSW madness.
  10. 36F mixed precip doesn’t accumulate much better in December than it does in March.
  11. People hate seeing the stingy icon snow maps but it has performed very well up here on many occasions the past few winters.
  12. I was just razzing them. Mostly Andrew. It’s been a pretty crappy winter most places. Kind of a Miracle that the Oregon snow pack is doing so well
  13. I’m mostly just giving you a hard time. I’m at 21” for the winter. I think we might get another couple at some point this weekend. Snow pack situation is pretty bad here right now but I think some parts of southern BC have done really well in the mountains the past few days.
  14. I thought your snow pack situation was looking pretty good down there. Here’s southern Vancouver Island
  15. Decent chance that little low tracks west of the sound. So probably some southerly wind mixing things up for a time.
  16. Looks like our big snow storm potential up here for Monday has trended south. Heading for Oregon now. Kind of unfortunate Oregon keeps stealing the precip that is desperately needed to the north.
  17. 0.01” of rain overnight. Also a trace of slushy snow.
  18. Solidly in the Olympic rain shadow tonight. 34F and dry.
  19. Vancouver BC is gonna be in shock when they wake up to 8-10” tomorrow morning. No mention of sticking snow in their forecast
  20. Maybe that low it spins up and slides north off the coast tomorrow serves to weaken the onshore flow. Environment Canada is forecasting strong SE winds across southern Vancouver Island tomorrow, which isn’t typical of a cold onshore flow pattern.
  21. Had a few random hail showers pass through this afternoon
