  1. June also for Southwestern Oregon. Does this data include the June 2021 heatwave? My guessing is if we do another 30-Year Trend in the next decade or so then the pink will slowly creep north towards Western Oregon and Washington with June trending the warmest. Another thing I noticed is in parts of Alaska, February is the warmest. That makes sense because over the past 30 years we have had some big time February Arctic Blast here in the PNW while there is big ridging in Alaska. In my opinion this trend might also continue and the February will slowly overtake October as the month trending the warmest up in Alaska. If my hypothesis is correct then that means Spring will become shorter and shorter as Winter ends later than usual and Summer beings earlier.
  2. Just saw the radar loop. That’s as impressive as it gets. I saw reports of over 6 inches. Looks like the Dubai government said there wasn’t any cloud seeding missions during the storm. They have done it in the past though. I’m not a fan of cloud seeding or any other weather intervention done by man. We need to let Mother Nature run its course. “DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The National Center of Meteorology, a government task force responsible for cloud seeding missions in the United Arab Emirates, said it had not carried out the weather modification technique in the run-up to the heavy storms that caused flooding in places like Dubai. The organization told CNBC that it did not dispatch pilots for seeding operations before or during the storm that struck the UAE on Tuesday.” https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna148263
  3. Most of Washington is not in a drought. But it’s okay for them to be proactive if they think more drought conditions will come throughout the warm season.
  4. I like the Model Y but that’s one of the reasons I’m leaning towards the Model S. It can go 405 miles on .
  5. That’s their Cybertruck model. It’s very unique looking probably why it catches everyone’s attention. Maybe that’s what the intent is. I’m planning to just get a sedan, likely the Model S.
  6. I’m more of a Tesla fan. I currently don’t have an EV but plan to get one in the next couple years. Maybe once they build more charging stations.
  7. That looks like heaven! Looks like people are already sunbathing soaking up the Vitamin D . I need to plan a trip up there sometime this summer.
  8. Gas ️ prices are cyclical, they will go down again. Another option is to buy a Tesla.
  9. Thanks President Biden! He just approved Oregon’s request for federal major disaster relief so we can continue to recover from the Epic January Snow/Ice/Wind storm. https://www.kptv.com/2024/04/14/biden-approves-koteks-winter-storm-emergency-relief-request/
  10. Unfortunately it looks like the moisture didn’t quite make it up north. We will have another chance on Monday and Tuesday but it looks like we might be too far south. It looks like PDX is in the donut hole at the moment. So far PDX is running 43% of normal precipitation about halfway through the month of April.
  11. A high cloud shocker down here as well! . Only made it to 68 at PDX but still a +7 high departure.
  12. Some good moisture is about to move into the PDX Metro area. It’s moving NW so the bulk of the moisture might miss PDX though.
  13. I didn’t think they got out of the 60s but yeah they made it. We got more daytime peak heating now with the later sunsets. First 8pm sunset of the year coming on Wednesday.
  14. That sounds awesome! Hope you guys can spend some time outdoors. Gonna be a nice weekend.
  15. Monday and Tuesday went from showery to just a sprinkle chance now for PDX as the moisture doesn’t make it south. Looking dry through next week and maybe beyond.
  16. And no more drought. Just some small areas in the north and south with abnormally dry conditions.
  17. State football champs in 1984. The Gorilla statue still stands!
  18. The best of both worlds, rain and sunny blue skies! You gonna be here all weekend?
  19. Wow, that must be at least an EF3? Martinsburg ALERT
  20. PDX with a high of 65 today, +3 from the forecast high of 62. It will be wet tomorrow morning but then the sun returns in the afternoon. It will feel humid tomorrow afternoon and Saturday with the damp soil from the moisture.
