After reviewing 00z runs I'm actually a bit more confident than I was this morning. I could easily see this working out just need the subtropical jet to take a chill pill and I'm wondering about Euro tendency for cut-off bias. The energy under the ridge will change in how it is being handled in my opinion. It just would not take much to see that ridge pop up and dig in its heels around ~155-160 W. I wouldn't say I am super confident, but I am more cautiously optimistic than 12 hours ago. The other thought is the polar and subtropical jet will be interacting with each other if not colliding, so we better watch out for the wind storm potential Monday and especially on Thursday.
