It's pretty usual around here in the summers though. We have a creek and a few lakes up here... Kinda swampy. And it gets hot over the summer. This area usually warms up one of the most even more than North Bend in some situations.
It probably wasn't as bad as that, but today I tried putting on a hoodie and full pants to spend a little longer outside this evening ... and yeah they were going for my face and hands. They were getting in my eyes, so I gave up.
I’ve seen a couple out in my area the last week or two but nothing too crazy. This experience I had was SO bad. I’ve never packed up and left somewhere on account of mosquitos or bugs. Only bugs I don’t care for are mosquitos and wasps. Just part of the warm season.
Me and my brother were being swarmed by dozens of mosquitoes going for any exposed skin. Felt like i couldn’t even take a deep breath or I’d literally inhale a bunch of them going for my face. I go camping a lot and I’ve never seen anything like it.
In my neighborhood the mosquitos suck. Even today they were swarming me. I live pretty close to the wilderness though.
I love winter when all the bugs are dead or hiding wherever they hide. I hate them all.
