Welcome and nice to have someone from Sunriver! I go on trips over there once or twice a year usually. Most here will probably be quite jealous of your weather/climate to say the least.

Yeah... here's a winter month in northern Maine. I'm not convinced most people here would actually enjoy this, lol. It's one thing to enjoy severe winter weather for a couple days at a time, and even drive out to Okanogan County or wherever to chase it. It's another thing to have weather like that as the average for months on end. You might enjoy windstorms when they happen, but life would be pretty D**n difficult if we had 70 MPH gusts every single day.

Nice to see November is back to being the most worthless month in the calendar.

It's nice to have you back Jim! Yeah I agree if something happens it will probably be late November or December. February is way overdue for a blowtorch so we might as well just get that monkey off our backs this winter. January is January. An average one is worthy of celebration nowadays.

The last five days have seen a -2.2 departure on highs in Eugene... but a +2.8 departure on average temps. A good portion of that stretch had below average 850s as well. Fake warmth?

62/53 at Eugene yesterday - another day of “fake warmth”. Cooler than average high but kind of cheated our way to a positive departure via torchy low.
