I saw a post somewhere that our frost depth only got down to 5-6" I believe bc of that same reason. Wasn't cold and then it snowed, got really cold, and that insulated the ground. Should be a quick green up. We're mostly snowless here now

A week ago, it was -23.6 in my backyard with other places below -30. Today, I made it up to 55.2 degrees for a 78.8 degree difference in one week!

Yep. We were originally forecast to be around 42 today just a couple of days ago, and now the high is forecast for 50 degrees today. Overnight AFD said temps overperforming guidance

I'm running nearly 10" lower than the airport here and I'm about 10 miles away.

So sad and disgusting. Local Mets here posted these messages. I did an internship at a tv station years ago for a meteorologist and he played me some of the messages he had received from people so pissed off bc of a forecast that was wrong.

Up to 38.3" in my backyard for the season. And I'm probably one of the lower ones based on the amounts I've reported compared to other parts of town from these snowfall events.

Got hosed again. Just measured 4.5” in my backyard. Probably lost some to compaction but definitely lower than a lot of other reports. Radar once again showed the “dome” over my house The heavy returns were never over my location during this heavy band that moved over the city.

Was interesting to watch the meteorologists struggle with what to make of those 18Z runs. I noticed the 0Z runs backed off though so it was a hard forecast

Funny how many people that stormed and rioted at the Capitol and were arrested literally said they thought they were listening to him and doing what he wanted them to do. And they expected a pardon. Even more damming for him was that HE DID NOTHING FOR HOURS AFTER IT STARTED! He was happy this was happening. Multiple people said he was wondering why more people weren’t happier when it was happening. His first tweet was attacking Pence, which that tweet was then read verbatim over a bullhorn by rioters who were chanting they wanted to hang the VP. He sent out a video and a tweet saying he loved them and then stating this is what happens when you “steal an election”. Growing up in SD and NE I still had a couple friends/family that were still somewhat supportive of that POS. But when they saw his lack of effort to shut it down immediately and his praise of the rioters, that’s when they said they were 100% done with that traitor. Any doubt about whether he knew what would happen bc of his rhetoric was wiped away by his lack of immediate action to forcefully stop it for several HOURS while he watched it live on TV.

Yep. I didn’t watch that garbage video his layers put together but I do hope they included the Beastie Boys “Fight for your right to party”. It’s all about context. Just like when people claim a bunch of white dudes flashing the white power sign are actually randomly just doing the “ok” sign.

Another person that doesn’t understand what freedom of speech means yeah we’re definitely turning towards NK and China bc Twitter and Facebook don’t allow hate speech. “If I want to go on a private company’s site and talk about murdering people and overthrowing the government and vaccines causing people to grow a 3rd arm, then D****T it’s my right under the 1st amendment.” When I’m working, I’m going to tell my boss’s customers to screw off if they make me mad bc it’s my 1st amendment right.
