Eh, we had a little. Not much. Ice was more of an issue. Side roads were pretty icy in my neighborhood.

0z to 6z (hrs 54-60) is when the 18z GFS shows the majority of snowfall and that's when it shows snow in Seattle also. This map starts at the end of that time frame, Afternoon is the interesting time per the GFS.

Here are some pics from yesterday and today. The first one is yesterday. These were taken looking out from my vegetable garden towards, and then on, the path behind my house that leads to the Bainbridge Island Ferry terminal.

That's really close to the truth for my location. I've gotten another inch so far. We will see if that's it. But, I am encouraged by this because you just posted tonight's for me and it is about the same amount it was right about this morning.

What do the next 6 hours show? The 18z GFS is wet during that period right into the Metro area. If it is really snow like shown on the GFS it would be a crappy commute. Here is 4-10 pm

I just posted about that in an amateur sort of way I think you are about to get dumped on.

Look at the wrap around band coming past the south end of the Olympics. It is what is giving GHweatherChris snow right now. Looks juicy. Its feeding North but right now slamming into the mountains. It should start coming up the Peninsula soon and maybe over Sea. That is what I see on the radar.

Back down to 31 and dumping snow. As Mossman would say, its a snow globe. Pics later. Enjoy now.
