    Seattle had a top 10 in Dec 68 and 2 in Jan 69. Three top 10's in one winter. That's why that was my favorite winter. It was a lot like that here in Portland also.

    Live in Cedar Hills, 7 miles west of Portland. The wind started last night and it's 40 with DP at 27. Crystal clear and the dogs love it too.

    El Paso is over 3,700 ft. They get under 10 inches of precip a year with about 7 inches of it being snow, which is more than most lowland locations on the I-5 corridor in the PNW. Amarillo averages about 18 inches of snow per year.

    Cleveland and Milwaukee would give me enough snow.

    Although not quite as extreme Joseph, Oregon receives more snow. A little lower in elevation.
