  1. First of all I am not attacking anyone, I assumed with your location showing Macomb, it was the city of Macomb, and not the county. All I was reporting was what was actually going on in the city of Macomb. I am very educated thank you and don't need you to tell me otherwise.
  2. Detroit has received the heavier snow but not here in Macomb where I would say we barely rec'd an inch. Just a coating to make it icy. Not sure where your picture of that drifting snow is from, but it's not from around here. Must be south into Detroit.
  3. I am in Macomb and it's not doing anything but a few flurries and some wind. Nothing on the ground.
  4. Detroit area downgraded to Winter Weather Advisory for 3-6" instead of the earlier 6-8" forecast
  5. You can see the snow intensity shearing away (diminishing) as it moves north
  6. Alot can, and always does change between now and then. Keep our fingers crossed. We need a good one!
  7. if you type in Macomb MI also at the website it shows the same: 1" for Sunday around 1" for Sunday Night
  8. That's not what the actual forecast for Utica shows. It shows 1" during the day Sunday and another 1" for Sunday night.
  9. That would be great, but reality is more like 1-3"
  10. I also live in Macomb and do not see any mention of 3-5" here. More like 1-2 and possibly 3 at the most
  11. DTW is not too thrilled with any of this. Calling for 1-3" snowfall with the heaviest toward the Ohio border
  12. Detroit looking for 2-4" The dry weather will be short lived as a stronger system is set to lift through the Ohio Valley late Wednesday night into Thursday. The trough currently observed digging through the Great Basin will swing through the southern Plains and lift up the Mississippi Valley, leading to an open wave low forming along the nearly stationary frontal zone still draped just to our south and extending westward. Latest guidance indicates a coupled jet structure moving overhead, providing synoptic forcing for the low to develop. Models have been fairly consistent on the surface low tracking just to our southeast, placing SE Michigan within a favorable position for extra forcing via deformation. Accumulating snow is likely to start overnight Wednesday and continue into Thursday morning or possibly early afternoon. QPF has trended slightly upward with the 12z suite and the NAM has abandoned its previous dry solution. Current forecast is for a solid 2 to 4 inch accumulation. Depending on the track of the low, namely if a more northerly track is realized, there will be a chance for a wintry mix across the southern counties that may eat into snow accumulations.
  13. Accu-weather on WWJ Radio for Detroit area is talkling Sleet and freezing rain, no mention of snow
  14. So I guess if you live in Michigan nothing really matters because we are in no man's land. Wow!
  15. Maybe if we do a group chant we can get the storm to hit everone!
  16. Seems everyone on here takes every model to heart when in fact you know that they are going to constantly change and nothing ever is written in stone. Models are just for guidance and it's fun to follow to see what they show but in no way does it ever mean it's going to become reality
  17. It will change 5 times at least between now and then so don't get your hopes up!
  18. Detroit afternoon discussion makes no mention of anything on the horizon for Friday...strange
