  1. Yeah, I didn't even realize people were stuck in the fog yesterday. It was sunny all day yesterday up here and it was goregous! Foggy this morning though with a low of 32. 36 now.
  2. Some pictures from the cape during and after the storm. Our spit: Community service truck that got stuck in the snow. During the blizzard from the top of the beach...visibility is about 50-100ft. Hopefully these posts aren't too off topic but considering how dead it is in here...
  3. My friend's dog Jack just north of Concord today. She had to dig out path's for her dog to do his buisness before she could shovel out her driveway and some of her doorways outside.
  4. Man I really wish I was back home on the east coast right now! My sister got just under a foot of snow in Morningside Heights. Over 2 feet at our place on the cape as of early this afternoon and with heavy snow continuing this afternoon and evening they could make a run for 30" . Friends and family in the Boston area all reporting between 24-36" of snow with higher drifts.
  5. Yeah, I so wish I was out there...This looks stronger than the storm a couple years ago where my place in SW CT got 36" of snow.
  6. 61 degrees here currently. Meanwhile the click forecast for my sisters place in NYC. 24-37" of snow with thunder possible. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-73.96552&lat=40.80387#.VMVVQP7F98F
  7. 56 degrees at 11:20am here with mostly sunny skies. Feels like spring! Meanwhile Blizzard watch up for my hometown on the east coast where 1-2ft of snow or more is expected. I'm glad this is my last winter out here.
  8. 59 and cloudy here...Feels like a gloomy May or late April day.
  9. half inch diameter but it was estimated since I was driving in my car. It was louder hitting my car than pea sized hail too and there was a storm report of .50" hail in the area too.
  10. Wow! Hit .50" hail on I-90 around 50 minutes ago in between North Bend and Snoqualmie. One minute it was clear and everyone was going 70mph or so and then the next it was pounding hail with around an inch of slushy hail covering the ground with cars sliding around a bit going 20-30mph.
  11. A few years ago I skied Crystal on the 4th of july. Last year was the first year they haven't been open through the 4th of july since they completed the gondola. The skiing in july wasn't actually all that bad.
  12. Lucky, inversions like this are a crapshoot here, half the time I am clear while the valleys are foggy and half the time i'm stuck in the fog. This time i'm stuck in the damp disqusting fog . Was able to clear out for a little bit yesterday afternoon and it has been clear most of the nights here but foggy by around 5-6am. High of 38 and damp...gross.

Todays flood reached 59.5 feet or the 10th highest recorded.
  14. Yeah I know, worst flooding i've seen since 2011. Sadly I haven't been able to take any pics during the daytime. Pretty impressive.
  15. Same here, very windy but just some light drizzle.
  16. Yeah that seems like a resonable solution in this scenario...I don't think it will amount to much for anyone except for Northern Whatcom and Southern BC.
  17. Had some flurries in the morning and light snow in the late morning and early afternoon, switched to snow and sleet and then to all rain in the afternoon. No accumulation though.

  19. Haha, I have a clog in my rain gauge on the roof and I havent been able to get up there and unclog it. Anyway when the station freezes then unfreezes the clogged water starts pouring through the gauge. Currently I have .20" in the gauge with a .36" rainfall rate. It's raining cats and dogs too according to my station.
  20. I saw the flakes while driving home from work and was really confused. I thought I was going crazy for a little bit.
  21. Thank you very much Phil! Its a really difficult decision! At least I have 4ish more months to decide! I still have to tour a couple more schools too like SUNY Albany and the University of Alberta too before I decide.
