  1. There's so much cool stuff going on its hard to keep up. @ the New York stuff, "Holy moly!" 77 inches is a lot of snow! I'm praying that if there's a storm to be had, it follows the Euro's lead and also trends s/se.
  2. Good call. The euro had the right idea from this range in my book and agreeing that there's not been a diving cutoff die out over Mexico this year, should be nice to watch. Appear to see the longer range shades of old pattern with upper air features over the northeast as well. 2 good clues for super long range.
  3. Aside from that system, looking pretty bleak for everyone but Andie for awhile. Texas looks to catch up on some badly needed precipitation.
  4. Its the literal opposite of la Nina. Kinda weird, right?
  5. Going to be fun to model watch the next 5 days or so with the Thanksgiving week system. Got solutions ranging from nothing to a 2 piece system to what you see in 12z today. I'm favoring a phased blend by the time all is said and done, but we will see. Been a neat November so far. My snow is all gone already. Got around an inch.
  6. Last one before dark. Good moderate band moving in. 20221114_171338.mp4
  7. In other words...."we're nowcasting this one folks!" Lol. Pretty awesome dynamics off the lake there, I'd say!
  8. Latest rapid, hi-res or HRRR....whatever you call it. Showing a good 2 inch snow. I like it because it factors in elevation, which shows in a snowfall map.
  9. Last one.... I'm thankful for my elevation. I think that they'll need to revise my totals by time this is over.
  10. Sprinkled for around 3 mins and started dumping snow on me. Should be more than an inch, but will have to see how melting goes. I'm right on the line. Puking moderate chicken feathers right now!
  11. I'm praying for some more oomph outta this thing when turns north. Will be interesting. Right now I'm at a forecast of 0-1 inch.
  12. You're actually right. I'm just a little bitter over getting left out so many times. If there was a marker event, that's it.
  13. I love it. I'm excited for us this year! I think 11/11/2022 will be remembered as the day winter came back to our era. A new era, if you will. It's been so long since seeing something like this.
  14. Yeah, in terms of totals down here, looking more like a shotgun pattern. Lol. I may get an inch or be in the hole that keeps showing up. This weather pattern is how surprises happen. Hence the write-up Clinton posted. I love it.
  15. Finished with a total of approximately .25 inches of snow on that event. Just glad it's snowed. Glad real winter is back.
  16. Adding.... The good news is that moderation brings moisture with it.
  17. Came to write something in regards to this as well. This pattern doesn't have an end, honestly. Moderation to normal and then crash is correct.
  18. This is pretty wild folks! Welcome to winter! As someone above said, it will be interesting to watch the models the next 48 hrs. It's been something like two decades since something like this down here.... Long time!!
  19. If y'all haven't figured it out, I'm just stupid with giddiness over this coming 10 days. Like @jaster220 said, this is the "old school" stuff. Bring it on. Just awesome.
  20. If my memory serves me, this beats it to pieces. That's pretty darn cold!
  21. So, all in all, storm here in far eastern Oklahoma dropped 3 inches or so of rain and produced some wild wind damages in a few places north and immediately south of me. Parts of Northwest Arkansas are under repair now. It was a wild storm. We'll see if we are close enough to the winter months for the Ozarks lore to prove true that it will snow in a week.
  22. If this verifies, I'm pretty sure I kicked a 70 yard field goal with my comment about 2-4 day modeling earlier this week. Getting pretty real now, yeah. I LOVE it.
  23. Wind is here and appears the cold is creeping into the panhandle of OK.
