  2. Those old Marysville to Lake Stevens specials! Marysville gets a trace, Lake Stevens gets an inch, Three Lakes gets 4".
  3. And more often than not they do not produce more than flurries in the sound. Usually the real intense ones have a quick wind shift accompanied by a skiff at best. Port Angeles is another story :).
  4. I buy the possibility of half of that. No way the valley produces lower 850s and more snow. Perhaps more snow but never the lower 850s in this pattern.
  5. Much less modeled snow and cold than this have produced some of our greatest snowfalls in the PNW. Lots to be excited about for sure.
  6. I wish Mark Nelsen would come post here. Does he have an alter ego maybe? Or maybe he just doesn't want to be associated with some of the stuff here?
  7. Sounds good to me. Just saw it and figured some would have interest. I definitely won't mention any details here.
  8. OT, but I see there is a little drama over on the Facebook groups........oh boy.
  9. I expect it to increase exponentially during the next week though.
  10. When the GFS falls back in line tonight then this place is going to go ape-sh$t. I for one am hoping that the February thread reaches 1000 pages.
  11. NWS 7 day keeps getting a little snowier with higher POP's with each successive run.
  12. It's like dating. You get pullbacks until you get a pull forward. Keep the faith.
  13. Every time someone says cold or snow, we have to take a shot. Or later every time Rob says c'mon.
  14. Thanksgiving in 2005-6...can't remember which one it was. Just an amazing event that lasted a couple days. Miss it.
  15. A surface low spins up from the south Pacific on the models over the weekend and makes Valentine's Day the greatest love we have ever known.
  16. Largest flakes I ever saw was in Lake Stevens when I lived there. It was probably 31 degrees and I swear some of them were the size of dollar bills.
  17. Some weirdo on Facebook told me that with arctic fronts there is no convergence. He claimed that it is only due to overrunning. It was game, set, match.......had to block him.
  18. When I worked up in Anchorage, the Chugach mountains and adjacent mountains to the east were snow killers. It actually is really tough to get a heavy snow there. Lots of 1-3" snowfalls, meanwhile it is dumping all around.
