The snow has been hanging on real well here in the hills above Portland which has been surprising with the temps and sun breaks. 35 degrees out currently with a solid 4-5 inch snow cover still.

It’s because PDX metro and east isn’t scouring out, so likely a lot of icing on the way, especially from the west hills and to the NE from here.

25.9 degrees here this morning, the cold air is really trying hard to hang on, this afternoon and evening could get real interesting from here east.

Beautiful cold morning! Sitting at 20 degrees currently with about 8 inches of snow and sleet with 2-3 foot drifts.

I can't tell you how many friends have said "where's the big snowstorm?" Most of the general public doesn't understand a multiple day event. Many people have no clue that snow or freezing rain is even on the way tonight down here and that the main event hasn't even begun.

Temperature is falling here again under moderate snow, down to 21.9 degrees now

Radar is really filling in nicely here this morning, snowing at a decent clip now, 22.3 degrees.

Woke up to a roughly compact 2 inches of snow here this morning, hard to get an exact measurement due to the drifts. Currently 23.0 degrees.

Up to an inch here now as this next band is about to move in, 27.1 degrees

Light snow just started here, clearly cooling off above much faster! Roads will be a mess soon. 30.4 degrees
