Yeah we average around 6” of rain for November, we will probably get there or just a little above that.

We’re up to 4.23” of rain MTD as of last night. Overall this fall looks like it’s going to end up pretty typical IMBY…just on the warmer side but nothing too crazy.

Yeah, my only comparison is the similarities of late October to those years…not as a whole autumn. We will see though would love to be wrong about this winter. I definitely think we see our warmest February since 2016…and likely no snowfall here after 7 years in a row with snow.

I just mean historically any type of anomalous cold in October has been shown to be a bad sign. Not necessarily comparing statistically what will happen with this event to 2002 or 2019.

Every year is different and unique, this cold wave doesn’t guarantee anything and we could still see some interesting events this winter. I just look at the past and see the odds are against us.

Smells like 2002-2003 and 2019-2020. Doesn’t guarantee anything but based off history the odds are not in our favor

Got all the way down to 43 here this morning, coldest we’ve been so far this cold season. This upcoming pattern looks like the kiss of death for this winter…but wasn’t expecting anything interesting anyways.

Several flashes and thunder here in the last couple minutes. This is the most interesting the weather has been here in awhile.

Had a couple rumbles from that last band but not as many as the first round a couple hours ago. The radar down south looks decent still…but we will see how it holds together.

Radar is looking impressive to the south of here. Down towards Olympia as well.

Very weird day to get a thunderstorm. Just seemed like a typical gloomy day with some light rain at times. Usually I’d think a cold core set up would be the best way to get a decent storm this time of year.

That was fun! I didn’t see any bolts but thunder was close enough to shake the building and see the flashes.

Yeah I had no idea either. Thought it was some explosion or a loud truck at first then I checked the radar. No rain just thunder.

Just had a big boom of thunder here a few minutes ago.

Makes October 2019 seem like a dream. We need more rain too… fall is starting to run below normal rainfall here.

The record for +70 days in a month before the last 2 years was 2014 (5). We had 12 in 2022 and 6 this year. Many years since 2005 where we haven’t hit 70 at all.

Will have to run the numbers when I get home later today, but we’re at about 2.75” MTD. Had 0.70” on Monday and 0.07” yesterday.

Nice day at one of our water treatment sites near Highway 18/I-90. Little too close to Tim for comfort unfortunately. Was very wet up here on Monday.

Well atleast we’re past October 2022s rainfall (1.87”) were at 1.89” this month.

We’re up to 1.86” so far this month. Overall hasn’t been a terribly eventful month…not a ton of rain and on the mild side but atleast it is feels like fall recently.

0.50” yesterday and 0.48” today. 1.52” this month.
