  1. Season total currently 19.38" with occasional bursts of heavy rain.
  2. Rain starting up again. 0.15" since midnight and rising.
  3. 2.06" for me yesterday, another 0.12" since midnight.
  4. 1.05" since midnight and over 18" for the season.
  5. Doppler radar indicating that the moisture is about to spend itself out. I'm approaching 18 inches for the season.
  6. Maybe but I have doubts. 0.70" for today now. Edit: Heavy rain hitting us now.
  7. Season total now at 17.13" - surpassing my 2010-2011 season total and officially marking my wettest season up to this point.
  8. Rain finally picked up again over the past hour. Colder than the previous several storms. Season total currently at 17.03" with the rain continuing outside.
  9. Lot of interesting clouds today, and in multiple layers. So many shades of grey.
  10. Nothing measurable here since 8 AM. Cloudy but not even drizzle since then.
  11. It depends on the time of year/season and how above or below average the current season total is (for the current point in the season, not for the entire water year). I don't have any "legend" I use or anything. If I ever have a season total go past 20 inches, or receive excessive rain early in the season, I'd use the color blue - which I've never had to do yet.
  12. Cloudy with some drizzle here this afternoon, but nothing measurable. Hardly any wind here to speak of so far.
  13. Fixed my totals for the last storm. Only 0.24" left until I surpass 2010-2011's season total, which would make this current season the wettest I've ever recorded since 2009.
  14. Checked it out a few hours ago and yes, my rain gauge had a clog in it. Fortunately I have a manual rain gauge as well. Very heavy rain right now, my season total is approaching 17 inches. 2018-19 and 2019-20 totals both have been surpassed.
  15. My rain gauge is underreporting raining all of a sudden, I need to see if it’s clogged.
  16. Even half of this would send me above most of my previous season totals, potentially even above 2010-2011.
  17. 0.02" yesterday with occasional drizzle. Nothing measurable since 9 AM yesterday.
  18. Surpassed my 2016-2017 season total today. About 0.40” more until I surpass both of my 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 season totals.
  19. There's a lot. If you're on Telegram, tons of videos (very graphic) by both pro-UA and pro-RU groups in and around Bakhmut in recent days. It's bloody and ugly. In a single video, I counted at least 138 Ukrainian corpses after Wagner stormed a Ukrainian trench on the Artyomovsk front. Ukraine has only one road left in and out of Bakhmut, and that road is now under direct fire control of Russian artillery which is annihilating anything that moves on that road - day or night.
  20. The sheer amount of state propaganda Americans have been faced with over the past 72 hours with regards to Ukraine, shows the dire situation the Ukrainian Army is in and their dwindling western support - the city of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine is a particular flashpoint, which Russian forces have almost completely encircled over the past week with tens of thousands of elite Ukrainian soldiers trapped inside of because Zelensky was too stubborn to retreat from for PR reasons. Mass propaganda at this level has a tendency to backfire, which it has - now it looks like a $250 billion NATO-trained and supported Ukrainian Army is getting their asses kicked by a bunch of forcibly-conscripted psychiatric Russian mental patients armed with only shovels designed in 1869 along the entire eastern Ukrainian front. Propaganda backfires, and it's not Russia that's doing it. US intelligence appears to have figured this out long ago and is now prepping the field for the US to abandon Ukraine, just like the US eventually does to all of its other "allies". "US intelligence says "pro-Ukraine group" to blame for Nord Stream 2 pipeline explosions" somehow without the knowledge or approval of Zelensky and his government, and with previously unknown Ukrainian naval capabilities and intelligence and geopolitical connections that only the US was known to have." That pro-Ukraine group did, in fact, sabotage the Nord Stream 2 pipelines - and that group was the US government. State propaganda is not something that only happens in other countries, fellow Americans. Kurds in eastern Syria take note, if the first betrayal by US forces in 2019 under the Trump administration was not enough to tip you off.
  21. 2023 so far cooler and wetter than average for Downtown Los Angeles.
  22. For a wider context, the last time that Downtown L.A. recorded a high below 50F (<49F) was on February 2nd, 1979. High that day was amazingly 46F. Those kind of days appear to be long gone for Downtown L.A., granted the station has relocated closer to the coast and lower in elevation since then (moved in July 1999) which may affect these readings. The coldest high temperature ever recorded in Downtown L.A. was 43F on January 29th, 1922.
