Got rained on in south Los Angeles this morning. Nothing here in Murrieta, though. Downtown L.A.'s high of 50F on February 25th was the first time a high of 50F or lower was recorded there since February 24th, 2001 - 22 years ago.

Rare to see this so widespread:

Southern California was much colder during most of the 20th century compared to now.

After the graupel storm here earlier:

39F and lots of graupel falling here currently.

Current band of moderate-to-heavy rain seems to be ending after hitting us for the past several hours. Lot of wind too. 0.45" since midnight and 14.94" season total.

My season total should be hitting 15 inches soon. Quite a bit of it this morning.

Rain still on and off here, 0.11" since midnight. Looks to get quite cold here inland tomorrow night.

Heavier rain moved in over the past couple of hours. 0.27" before midnight.

A shower rolled through here earlier in the afternoon but passed just as quickly. More serious rain later tonight and tomorrow, according to NWS. Finally caught up on typing a number of stories on WeatherCurrents this evening.

Eighth consecutive day with measurable precipitation here.

38F with occasional light rain.

While the high temperature at my weather station was technically 50F, that only occurred right after midnight, afterwhich the temperature plummeted down to the low 40s/upper 30s and stayed there for most of yesterday. Never got any higher than 46F during the day here. Ended yesterday with 1.37", and 0.04" since then bringing my season total to 14 inches on the dot.

That's even closer to me than it is to you.

Rain stopped here a little while ago but it remains quite cold and cloudy. 1.07" for today so far.

Keeping a very close eye on this storm today. We've had a series of unusually very cold storms in Southern California this winter, and now the season is above-average in many areas. Similar to 2000-2001 in a few ways.

Colton is even lower in elevation than here.

Anywhere above 1500 FT is a gamble at this point. I'm at 1300 FT and it's 39F with bouts of heavy rain.

Temperature is still falling despite the rain.

Quite cold for a mid-morning rainstorm. Snow levels are probably not far from me at this point.

Temp has been dropping during this storm. Started out at 50F at midnight, now it's 42F and still raining. 0.80" and still rising.

Marine Layer posting after a few drinks again

I do it on a midnight basis, the storms have been so constant lately that it's basically pointless for me to update it until the storms are over. As of this writing my season total is at 13.10".
