  1. My brother has worked at KOMO for 30 years. He's a director for the morning news.
  2. It's exciting to follow, but I don't think my area will get much if anything. I'm at 300 feet elevation a block east of University Place, but technically Fircrest. Probably too far south and west. But I will be excited for seeing others score...as long as I get something later, of course
  3. The dealership was Larson in Tacoma. BTW I like Carcomplaints.com, it is a good site to get an idea about which cars/models to avoid.
  4. My son's friend had the same thing happen to him while driving. It was a Sonata, don't remember the year, but it was somewhere in that time frame. Eventually the dealer replaced the engine at no cost. It just took them a long time to actually do it.
  5. A little late to the conversation, but I wanted to mention that two of Tacoma's parks, Oak Tree Park and Wapato Hills Park, have nice groves of the Oregon white or Garry Oak. They are a protected species and grow in what is considered a critical area for zoning purposes.
  6. I know this is a weather forum, but this triggered a memory. I used to have a Roland Juno 106 analog synth years ago and sold it back then. Just looked them up and they run anywhere from $800-$2000! Didn't pay much for it and sure didn't sell it for much either. Must be popular now.
  7. Just pouring here. My downspouts can't keep up and there is water everywhere!
  8. Yes! We will get through this together! Lockdowns and windstorms
  9. Nice saw, very reliable brand. Can't quite make out what model that is?
  10. Thanks. Of course, after I posted that the winds died down here...
  11. Wind really starting to pick up here in Fircrest/East UP. I don't have a good weather station so not sure of speeds. What is a good site for wind speeds/gusts?
  12. No, but we are going to use a candy chute to shoot the candy to the kids, 2020 style
  13. Wow, 12! They definitely are great trees, but then I like all kinds of Japanese Maples and have 9 different varieties in my yard including Butterfly, Shaina and Shishigashira (Lion's Head). My Coral Bark is still pretty small.
  14. Are those Coral Bark Japanese Maples? They sure are spectacular!
  15. Starting to break up here. Should be a very pleasant day.
  16. Sounds nice! I am very disappointed not to get a freeze out of this somewhat historic cold snap 44 with clouds this morning.
  17. Yep, very stormy here in Fircrest/East UP. Thunder is rolling. Happy Prime Day everyone!
  18. Thanks! There is still another one that looks like this. For some reason the site I was using (Charlie's Weather) was stuck on 9/23. I have tried going to the Wetterzentrale site, but can't find this version for some reason. http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Seattle_USA_ens.png
