As expected... the 18Z GFS is back to mega troughing.

I was just going to mention that its looks quite nice in Seattle.

ECMWF shows SEA barely making it to 50 for the next 4 days. Way below normal.

Only people who want troughing all the time and have severe climate anxiety. I am just someone looking for those spectacular PNW spring days. I think May has a decent to be ghastly in true post-Nino fashion as Justin has pointed out.

Yes Jared. But at least its not some monster trough parked over the PNW for weeks. My expectations were set back to very low based on some of the posts here about May. Any nice days are even more of a blessing now than usual.

12Z ECMWF is much more realistic that day... but of course its still over a week away and it will probably be pouring rain in reality.

Some GFS goofiness on the 12Z run. At least the trend is favorable and moving away from solid troughing for the next 2 weeks straight.

First of all I am working in the mornings. Secondly it's cloudy and windy here this morning. And finally... we will be home next weekend and I can look ahead while still enjoying the present.

SEA had a sensor issue yesterday. Rainfall was not officially reported. We will never know how much rain fell there this month.

I agree and I am 100% sure strong ridging won't happen... but the 06Z GFS has me dreaming of nice weekend.

No drinking in the morning as I am working from here. Its already 3:30 now. Not that I ever drink in the morning even when truly on vacation. I would be sleeping all afternoon if I did that.

This is fun. They belong in our Mediterranean climate because they do just fine. You don't see them in Montana or Minnesota. And it's just a tree. It is just so sinfully delightful to upset people who are wrapped around the axle about a tree.

An alternating pattern would be great. If we have 10 days straight of deep troughing and rain there should be a nice reward for a few days.

Why would palm trees in South Carolina enraged anyone? But I will do that on the boat this summer with pics of all the palm trees around Lake Sammamish.

You haven't been around long enough. I always cheer for large rainfall totals. If its going to be rainy then lets run up the totals and make a difference.

Lets run up those totals and flip April to a wet month!

Rain in May and June is really soothing... totally different sights and sounds. I have so many videos on my phone from years past. I just don't want it happening all the time... like May and the first half of June in 2022. A little too much of a good thing.
