Maybe we will get some normal winter weather for a change this week. I might even need to pull out some rain gear or a sweatshirt. i really hope we don't set a record or near record for drought this winter.
It was a nice day today with temperatures surpassing the 70 degree mark. I hope that we will see some rain soon as I hate having to irrigate the garden in what should be one of the wettest months of the year.
I picked up around 2" in Santa Barbara. Some areas where the mudslides occurred picked up in excess of .5" in about 5 minutes. That is a lot of rain in such a short period of time especially considering this is the first rain of more than a quarter of an inch this season.
The air quality is bad in Santa Barbara. I can't remember seeing ash fall in December before or being cold while this is occurring. Hopefully the winds will remain calm.
Morning low was 32 this morning with quite a bit of smoke from the Thomas Fire this afternoon. I really hope we get some rain soon. This is way to late in the season be getting massive fires.
Maybe we will have some seasonal temperatures for a change? It would be nice if we would get some rain, since this is our rainy season. Temperatures have been dipping into the upper 30's for the past couple of nights.
Wow, we had three consecutive days in a row at 100+ in late October is very odd setting records. Today was 103/54. Hopefully we will be getting some rain soon with close to normal temperatures.
We have been having some interesting weather. With the heat wave we topped out at around 100 with lows as high as 72(this morning). This afternoon we picked up .25" of rain with thunder and wind. Hopefully we can pick up some more rain before this is over.
