Yeah somewhere that will not feature hoards of people everywhere with jammed roads would be more my cup of tea.

Judging by how many forum members are traveling to see the eclipse, and the fact that my other set of In-Laws that live in central California and never go anywhere are traveling to see it…That swath of the states will (I guess IS at this point) be seeing tourism like never before!

Sometimes I think 5 acres is not even enough of a buffer from the masses. Don’t think I would last long here, though the water looks great for jetsking! (Other than all of the trash my engine coolant system would suck in)

It was only one, but wow was it deep rumble that started like a freight train, then a big thud that actually made the house creak… I almost thought we were in the beginning stages of an earthquake. Definitely not the usual clap of thunder.
