That event will not rely on super cold 850s for snow. Overrunning events depend on offshore flow and low level cold air. Mostly just watch the temperatures up above like 850 to see if you are going to get snow/freezing rain/sleet.

This will definitely be the case for the potential over running system mid week. Events like that are tough to forecast even 24 hours out. We will have to see how much low level cold air we can get in here and what the low is going to be like. Still really have no idea what is going to happen.

Yeah, well there is a razor thin margin of error for this event to get low level snow. Everything kind of needs to go perfect for sticking snow. That means even if the models only look slightly worse, it could kill our chances. (At least for Monday-Tuesday)

These maps are super inaccurate btw. Most of the lowland snow is not really going to happen. It is more of a elevation issue that the model isn't picking up on.
