I think ever since those failed Lake Effect Snow Warning calls earlier, they have been way careful.

Ya, they are playing it very conservative. Maybe they don't want to appear to jump the gun. They're wording suggests that no way this can go to Winter Storm Warning criteria...we'll see.

Ya, I saw that...but I think they meant from both storms combined!

LOL! I noticed that! They seem to be more concerned about next week's storm.

GFS keeps showing something stormy for around February 4/5 time frame. This is something to keep an eye on!

The north and northwest burbs should easily get 4-5 inches, if they haven't already! The southwest side by me would need several more hours of this to reach the low end of that. But it is snowing at it's hardest of the night right now!

Haven't measured yet...but it looked like about 1.5 inches when I got home about an hour ago! Hard to say, I already had a bit of drifting!
