  1. And the predicted (by several on here) cold blast to follow. Long ways out, could still change, but like the trends this morning.
  2. Canadian shows yet another wave of energy on Sunday. I'm enjoying the active pattern, just wish one of these was a little stronger. But still this early in the season to see this many chances at snow, I will take it.
  3. Potent clipper showing up on the GFS for early next week.
  4. GFS has weakened a bit. This is 10:1 but ratios are looking to be that or worse for the event.
  5. Could have a Nor'easter early next week as well. Not overly impressive by nor'easter standards, but not bad.
  6. Any snow we do get won't stick around too long. Euro still advertising the major warmup in the extended.
  7. Euro has the same idea Friday evening, just further south than the other models and weaker.
  8. The GFS has been extremely persistent about a secondary band of snow following the main precip maker. 6pm Friday would be a winter wonderland in my back yard. 2-3" if the GFS pans out. Extremely narrow band that I'm right in the crosshairs of somehow.
  9. 18z GFS for the Friday evening/Saturday AM system.
  10. Surprise storm to start out the month? GFS really trending towards a snowy start here in Iowa. Let's see if the other models latch on.
  11. 18z GFS Twin Cities could be in line for a couple inches if this trend continues.
  12. Euro has the late weekend system as well, but is further north with wintry precip.
  13. UK has the system as well, but much weaker and further south.
  14. Decent snowfall out of this one for the north half of Iowa and large swaths of NE, MN, and WI.
  15. This could be our next weather maker with wintry precip. The GFS shows something similar. Below is the Canadian. Something to watch this week.
  16. Euro showing a major blow torch in the extended for the western half of the US and Canada.
