Gosh, this is really taking some getting used to in terms of paying attention to Illinois' weather rather than Nebraska's. Tomorrow will be my official last day in Lincoln, and I couldn't have asked for a better ending. Temps near 70, and absolutely beautiful. Going to be really tough on me leaving here, really had some awesome times. Regardless, I'm hoping severe wx season gets started here soon, because this is insane how slow it's been so far!

I believe in miracles, but I don't bank on them. I highly doubt we get any snow, but i'll take some thunderstorms I suppose

Models turning this into a pretty meh event for us in Eastern Nebraska. I'm over it, I'd rather not have a cold rain to spend my last week here anyways, even though it's not going to be warm by any standards. Hopefully we can get some sort of severe wx this week but I'm definitely not holding my breath.

Hi guys, As some of you know, I will no longer be a resident of Nebraska beginning in May. Instead, I will be joining the dark-side-- where I will be living in Chicago. It has been an amazing run. I know that this post is unnecessary, but I will genuinely miss being part of the Nebraska posters. Weird to think about how we all have been together as a group for half or even close to a full decade, posting regularly about weather on this forum. It was awesome to share insight with all of you about how much Nebraska sucks in the winter, only to be made up by the best severe weather I've ever seen of anywhere I've lived in my entire life. It's been awesome, and despite my absence, I will always be rooting for you guys out here. In the meantime, let's warm tf up and get some severe weather before I go eh?!? Again, I can't thank you guys enough. LNK_wx, Gabel23, Jeremy, CentralNebWeather, Clint, FarmerRick and Craig, thanks for being here to talk about our local weather for so many years. Yeah I agree. I mean if it's going to happen, sure, I'll root for as much as I can get. Might as well see 12" than 1" if it's going to snow regardless. But yeah, I wish I was in the Ohio Valley right now for this severe wx outbreak instead.

Whoa what?!?!? Winter storm warning issued for lincoln. 4-8" with locally higher amounts. We dont even have an inch lol. Idk whats happening. Happy easter tho guys! Ham in the oven rn, smells amazing. Seeing some fat flakes falling in combination with that really is making this easter pretty cool so far

100% this. I don't like what the models are showing at all lol I know LNKWx likes this weather right now but I can't stand it. I'd prefer to go running outside in shorts rather than in sweatpants and a hoody where I end up having to blow my nose every 5 ft. and walk inside looking like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer because it's 36 degrees outside. No thanks. However, if we get one of those riled up storms that drop intense thundersnow only to melt the next day, I can't say I'd be too upset

Gosh, if we had some warm air to work with I feel like this would be a major severe wx producer over here. Too bad we're not supposed to reach 60 today. Oh well, HRRR shows some good spring thunderstorms tonight moving through, can't complain about that!

May i ask where the line is drawn? I know you say stick to weather, but why even allow this thread if thats the case? Not trying to step on your toes, just curious to see how we should go about it from here.

Sad day here in Nebraska man. This is honestly the worst day of weather I think all year. Incredible wind, cold, and just brown and dry to top it off. It's something that you absolutely dread as a weather fanatic, yet here we are.

No worries. I have family in Red Wing and they're going to send me some, it just looks like the best banding is setting up SE of there. What a crazy storm. Even if it doesn't amount to much, I'd take a quick 5-8" thundersnow over a 10" clipper with moderate rates. Thundersnow is amazing. Awesome that you guys are having some. Just checked out Rochester's snapchat story. Good god man, you aren't lying. It's absolutely RIPPING out there!

GoSaints, if you would be so kind to take a video and post it here I would actually really appreciate it. It looks insane on radar up there and I'd love to see the blizzard conditions, as it's been a really long time for us too.

Yeah I just hope things turn around for us out here. It's pretty dry. It feels a lot like Spring 2012 which was a nightmare of a year. If we miss out on severe weather season then I'll be even more upset. A hot and dry summer here would be the death of us.
