Going to be cold tonight in parts of the BC interior. Already down to 28F at Clinton.

Nothing measurable here today. 2 day total of 0.04".

I'm heading up to the Cariboo area this weekend. If the skies are clear it should be well down into the 20's during the early mornings. Clinton, BC has been 22, 23, 29, 27 the past 4 mornings.

Yea, things have trended south a fair bit. We had 0.04" yesterday with the 12z showing a few hundredths of an inch later today and again Wednesday.

Modelling has sure trended drier over the next couple weeks up this way. Maybe 0.1" over the next few days and then the GFS has been consistently showing dry weather the next 2 weeks.

I'm not sure if it's weather related but it seems like there is an unusual number of dead cedar trees in the forested areas near Shawnigan.

I've noticed many times how fast you melt out on a SW wind therre. Seems like 2ft melts out overnight there, when 6" here lasts a week or more.

Pretty strong offshore flow today. NE gusting to 30mph in Abbotsford. Seems unlikely that we see anymore sustained ridging this month. With the exception of a day or two here and there it seems most likely that the ridging stays to our NW.

How come 70 over 71?

Someone said they were going to Lake Louise this week. Looks like it is snowing at higher elevations around there this morning.

They cancelled some of the night shifts in central BC, too cold. The firefighters reported having to break ice to get things started first thing in the morning.

Could be the last run at it for the season.

They are going to be non contenders for years to come, unfortunately.
