Did some investigation into the longest 90+ degree streaks for Chicago in years that ended up being strong Nino (restricting this to post-1950 years). 1987 is definitely the most impressive year of the bunch, as it had a 10 day streak and another streak that lasted 7 days. Below are the strong Nino years with a 5 day or longer streak of 90+ in Chicago. Will 2026 get added to the list? 10 days: 7/17 to 7/26, 1987 7 days: 7/6 to 7/12, 1987 5 days: 7/13 to 7/17, 1997 5 days: 8/25 to 8/29, 1991 5 days: 7/18 to 7/22, 1991
