Brrrytle Beach is cold and miserable with lows in the 30s with freeze warnings, while we here are baking in the 90s and 100s. OC is in the same latitude as Myrtle Beach btw.
It is kind of mind blowing that for 125 years it never happens, then it breaks by 12 degrees, and 11 consecutive days (today tied the March record) lol. June 2021-esq, some real spikes in the 2020s. DC hit 80 degrees on Jan 26, 2024 (coldest day of the year here is Jan 27), after it had never hit 80 before all of Dec-Feb. I wouldn't be surprised if next Winter is really warm in El Nino.
