Not factual. Just like a lot of the baseless claims that spring is warming just like summer or turning into it.
Argue with the maps, not me. Summer has warmed the most of any season for the West. It's not close.
There were theories being floated after 2010/11 that global warming was actually leading to more warm season cloudiness in the PNW, due to the contrast of oceanic air masses and warm inland air masses.
The stats (aka "science") says that the most notable warming by far has been in the heart of the warm season, ie July/August.
Yes, the shoulder seasons have warmed. More than the cold season. But not to the extent of July/August.
There's a happy and accurate medium here. People can repeat something ad nauseum but facts matter.
Been a crazy stretch. Warmest I've seen here. I don't think it's a new normal or a "step change".
Pretty wild that we couldn't manage snow in February this year, hit upper 80s in March...and now the first winter storm warning I've ever seen in May here. Could very easily set some late season cold benchmarks as well the next few days.
