Crown point is good but you lack a S. View for incoming. If you can make it to Timberline, that would be the spot. If a cell goes in the Coast Range, Bald Peak might be a distant but good spot. Bonus points if one goes to the south there's a really good viewpoint about 3 miles SE (but it is on a Ridgeline so get out once it gets within 5 miles)

New thoughts tonight.

I'm thinking of driving around to get some views of storms. Any recommendations? I was thinking perhaps crown point since it's convenient to get to.
