  1. Windy all day down here. Not power outage worthy but a gusty day. Looks like a nice weekend coming up, could be the last for awhile, enjoy it all!!
  2. That’s insane for the west side. Best year since I’ve been alive probably. Except for ‘13-‘14. My daughter was born, the Hawks won the SB, and we had 35” in 3 days. Incredible winter as well.
  3. ‘16-‘17 was one to remember over here. It was cold and we had snow on the ground from December 4th through March 4th that winter. I was getting up in the morning thinking it would warm into the 20’s that day but for weeks on end it would be in the teens and lows in single digits. It got old but I’d love for it to happen again. Best winter of my life. A few days I remember it staying around 10 for the high and it just didn’t warm up it seemed like forever. How did it stay that cold over here for so long? I mean daytime temps. Was it residual cold?
  4. Wow. I can’t believe how cold it was here today. At noon it was just 25 and now at 32. The high of the day. Going to be cold tonight with it in the upper single digits somewhere. Brrrr. Isn’t it too early for this? Lol
  5. Got down to 16 this morning. Up to 19 now. Going to be a cold one tonight with most places nearby in the single digits.
  6. Down to 33 now with a 15 mph north wind. Just spitting snow for the last few hours here. Nothing on ground like Crooked River Ranch. Watched the weather conference this morning and they said that we wI’ll have a warm and dry November, a changing December and then a colder and wetter second half of winter. Big shocker, it’s a moderate La Niña coming up.
  7. Temp has dropped 6 degrees in last two hours since the NNE winds have arrived. Love these days when the temp drops or holds steady through the day. Was 48 at 7:15 and now at 42 at 9:15. Should be in mid to upper 30’s by afternoon.
  8. If I recall correctly there was zero snow up in ski resorts through the first week of December then all he’ll broke loose.
  9. Remember how last year you were so hung ho on a cold and snowy winter? Cold October, lowest solar min since the Mander minimum, and a few other things. The way you’re talking is the same as last winter and look what happened. I’ve Ben around here for a long time, just my names have changed a little, but it’s a broken record. You will be right one of these winters but I just don’t think this is the one. Dam that blob, and dam the already patterns that have been with us for the good part of two years already. Just my two cents tho.
  10. Ya. It’s down to 58 now but once that south wind hit today it bumped from 43 to 57 in a matter of 90 min or so. Still going to be cold tomorrow through Monday with lows around 10 Monday morning. I don’t have a good feeling about this winter. But what does my gut know?
  11. Currently 44 and headed for a low about 25. Coldest mornings look to be Sunday and Monday mornings with lows in the low teens to upper single digits. Brrrr
  12. I’ve heard there has been one or two with the Culver guy. Have not yet heard the details.
  13. New tablet. I know I do it every year but can someone please send me a link to the ensembles? Thanks
  14. I’ll ask yet again. Is there a way to get back to where you last read? I hate having to backtrack a few pages every time I check this forum. Winter is coming and I’d like it to go back to how it used to be in that aspect. Fred?
  15. Don’t forget ‘16-17’. The best winter I’ve ever seen.
  16. I know the humidity is persistent there Phil but the 90’s here is still hot. Even when it drops to 50’s at night. The sun is just blazing daily and it actually feels hotter than it is. I don’t wish humidity in anyone but the sun with no clouds for weeks on end can be almost as bad. End of the world in 3. 2. 1........
  17. I live in the NE part of Redmond. Bought a house last March on 3rd street which is on the east side of the highway. So you were probably about 24 minutes away. I work in Bend everyday and don’t see why there’s so many people living there these days. The traffic congestion has gotten unbearable and the cost to live there is painful. I’m sure Redmond will be there soon from the looks of things here. Another half dozen new 50,000 2ft buildings are starting here again. Doctors offices and medical manufacturing going in. It’s just a matter of time.
  18. Best weekend we could’ve ever asked for. Great for conference calls. Updates are imminent.
  19. First time lurker, first time buyer. Culver guy just told me to be aware of the conference’s that are soon to commence. I hear from good sources that this winter will be one to remember. Jim?
