  1. Like most of the observations above, it has been mostly dry today. Big billowy white clouds and blue sky. But there was a roughly 15 minute period of rain and hail! It started hailing first than turned to rain. Here are some pics of the little beads of joy.
  2. Today was an adventure. I had clear blue skies, pouring sideways rain, gusty bursts of wind, heavy pelting hail, and it all ended in a blue sky day with massive clouds in the distance towards the mountains and a beautiful sunset! Wowie!
  3. Most of today here was overcast to partly cloudy with filtered sunlight. It topped out at my place to 64F but downtown Everett hit 67F. I noticed more and more clouds rolling in from the west and further north looked cloudy all day.
  4. Temperatures Around The Region As of 4:30pm PST. I enjoyed doing this last year. Let's start it up again. Weird to see the western half of these states be warmer for a change. 5. Don't think I will even get close to 70F. Currently 62F, partly cloudy and filtered sun.
  6. I hope so. lol! I do love the scenery of the trees and mountains when you post your pictures. Alpine living!
  7. It is 53F right now and all overcast. I find it shocking it will possibly hit 70F tomorrow then drop down to a high of 49F the next day. It's going to be a roller coaster!
  8. Uhhh... it was 50F degrees and snowing about ten minutes ago? Blue sky all around except for a cloud above me.... uhhh.... Nothing stuck.
  9. It is very possible that parts of the Puget Sound will hit 70F (officially) for the first time this year (depending on location) on Thursday. I'm waiting for the local news media to pounce on this story and get all excited, and start warning people about heat stroke. It looks very possible, especially further south in Tacoma. Seattle is possible too. Less likely north.
  10. So where is this rain and storm that was supposed to be here all day Sunday? It's breezy and overcast, but nothing has happened yet. It's been breezy since this morning. Radar is showing it's raining on me right now, but it isn't. I also drove 10 miles away and it said it was raining, it also wasn't.
  11. Anyone see the northern lights last night? (Wenesday night)
  12. I'm seeing rain showers around the Sound, but it's been dry here all day. Even blue skies and sunny at times. I'm getting sick of this. No rain whenever they forecast rain. It's been this way for about a month. In other news.... Possible Northern Lights Event Wednesday Night in Washington? KOMO News Article KXLY News Article
  13. Forecast originally said rain Saturday and Sunday. 84% chance and 90% chance respectively. It's been overcast all day and no rain. We're running out of days for the wet stuff, I don't want them to be getting them so wrong like this.
  14. Okay, so this isn't weather related exactly.... or at all.... maybe? https://www.pnsn.org/blog/2022/03/15/mystery-booms-and-forensic-seismology The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) is investigating a mysterious boom heard coming from Orcas Island, WA last week. The boom was heard early in the morning on March 7. A reported a similar boom that was accompanied by a flash of light back in December. The San Juan County Sheriff's Office has been investigating similar reports of mysterious booms and asks that anyone who has information contact them.
  15. Loving the extended forecast! Rain for days! Super excited, hope more comes. Gotta soak it in before the worst part of the year happens... summer. Have our summers always been so dry? I don't remember them always being months of dry weather, hot, and no rain. (Specifically Western Washington).
  16. Sunny and partly sunny all day so far, but cool. Mid 40s. The wind was quite good with a good onshore breeze coming from the sea as shown by the flags being blown around.
  17. I truly have no idea. Oregonian's were upset their posts were always overlooked in the main PNW weather thread. So I made the topic... and no one uses it. ;D Lol.
  18. According to the forecast, it was supposed to rain here today. It's been sunny and partly sunny all day. How are they so bad at predicting rain? Lol. Chase Briscoe wins at Phoenix!!
  19. Thank goodness. It's finally raining. I missed it so much.
  20. That is very cool! Never seen any bird that colorful before around here except Goldfinches, a few Blue Jays, and once a red cardinal that must have been lost.
  21. Where was this? What kind of birds! They... they look tropical! Lol!
  22. Really missing the rain in the lowlands and snow in the mountains. Been way too dry lately. I hope people who like the sun are enjoying it though. I just hope we will have enough snowpack for summer, for our farmers, and all who rely on that water. Hope everyone had a fantastic Sunday.
  23. Insane! Less than a ten mile difference and no elevation change. Here is a photo from Everett, Washington (ship). The second photo is a 15 minute ferry ride across the water on Whidbey Island near Clinton, Washington! It's a winter wonderland here with trees falling across the road meanwhile in Everett it is beautiful, sunny, and completely dry. All in the same day and less than ten miles apart! That is crazy!
