  1. Appreciate you guys and all the updates. Crossing my fingers on this one's potential. Don't know how I feel on being in the bullseye 3 days out. I have a feeling this thread is going to be on fire the next few days.
  2. 12z GFS --- Precip has stopped here in N/C Illinois. Most guidance saying it will fire back up overnight with that wrap around band sticking around through the early afternoon tomorrow. Waiting for that advisory from DVN to see what they have to say.
  3. 6z GFS..........Illinois Valley Bullseye = 13.2! Question is, how long is this backside really going to hold Halloween morning/afternoon?
  4. Hurrying home today after work to prep mine. Usually put it off until Mid-November. We're sitting in a decent spot here in the Illinois Valley on both GFS and Euro, although Euro looks like we're threading the needle.
  5. Just won't quit here. Pivoting over us still. This is nuts.
  6. 06z GFS......a parade of Minny/Wisco specials. Wow.
  7. For the Tuesday system, GFS seems to be cutting harder north with each run and keeping it too warm here in IL. More of an Iowa/Wisco special. Anybody give a brief mention of how that compares to the Euro?
  8. Up over 3" here along I80 in IL. Looks like it's going to be lasting all day and into the night.
  9. Getting pummeled with snow. Definition of a blizzard out there with these winds. This is something to take in. Not something you see every year. By the way folks, it is still autumn. Unreal.
  10. Look outside here and it looks like a classic April rain storm with gusty winds. We are anxiously anticipating the change over. Little sleet is starting to mix in.
  11. Good lord. I am located dead on that 22. Where do I sign?
  12. Alright, NAM has done its job. Your turn GFS and FV3!
  13. Kind of a dud down here this morning. Nothing stuck. Have been getting pounded since late afternoon. This thing's northern end is just north of 80 moving due east. We could actually end up with a few inches here. Over 1" already that has stuck.
  14. Snowed overnight here in Central IL, and we woke up to a nice 2 inches covering the ground. Nothing sticking to pavement, but a pretty unique sight to see the white stuff covering a few trees with red and orange leaves underneath.
  15. N/C IL ---- Friday, October 12th. Snowflakes falling before lunch. It was 87 degrees on Monday. Happy Fall.
  16. I don't know about an all-nighter, but I'm thinking of maybe setting the alarm clock to get up early Sat. morning. Looks good as of now, but I'm still trying to not jinx it!
  17. No doubt the fattest flakes of the season. Very scenic. Only been snowing 20 min or so here, and driveway has a nice coating.
  18. Getting absolutely dumped on right now. WSW back on. A little late, don't you think DVN?
  19. Radar has filled back in all the way back to the QCA along I80. Wind has picked up tremendously in the last hour. Whiteout conditions being reported along I80 at Ladd/SV exit. This is a pic of I80 from my buddy who works for the city.
  20. Good Lord, Detroit looks like all day Hammer Time. Enjoy Michigan folks!
  21. I measured 3" at 8am. This is mostly from this morning, had very little overnight. Still ripping right now and looks like we're going to be able to stay under this for awhile now. Interesting that GFS was right on this transition to the weenie band over I80 in the early morning. Other models closer on the initial overnight push being north.
  22. Been snowing hard here since about 5am. Little flakes but lots of em. This is going to be the majority of what we get out of this one.
