  1. I think we have to put all of our hopes and dreams on Phil’s shoulders and hope he’s spot on about January!
  2. Actually I think that is an excellent idea! Weather in this area is downright boring when the PNA is positive. Sports!!
  3. If I remember correctly 1986/87 was terrible as a kid addicted to snow with Nov. 1985 still fairly fresh in the memory. But then things looked way up starting in Feb. of 1988 if I remember correctly...until 1991/92 came.
  4. Glad my hamster simply died of old age. Though I do remember he died when there was snow on the ground in late 1992 since I had to get though some hard cold ground to bury him.
  5. Glad I chose yesterday to travel. Around town in Moses Lake was much worse than the pass yesterday morning, wet roads and the temps dropped at sunrise creating an ice rink which I think caught the deicer trucks off guard. Lots of people going sideways, was exciting!
  6. The rain is quite heavy out there now. Too bad it wasn't colder out. I'm still holding out hope for some Christmas whiteness. And then a brutally cold and snowy January.
  7. If it was July I would take the day off and go jetsking!
  8. 3yrs ago today we had a little residual moisture as the cold air finally filtered in...had snow on the ground and below freezing for nearly a week!
  9. It would be awful not being able to see the dark blue and purple plowing right into the northwest!
  10. Arctic plunge starting the 10th and continuing for at least a week...That shade of blue is my favorite!
  11. I will need to pull out my old weather history ledger that I recorded my observations on. If I remember correctly it was from the winters of 1987-89. Think I have it with all my old VHS storm tapes in a box. I also included when school was late or cancelled!
  12. Could be, though at Lake Goodwin the temp always runs about 3-5 degrees below Marysville and Arlington for highs. Their lows are sometimes lower however so I might have hovered at or just below freezing especially with snow cover. I did see Everett had a low of 12 so if I remember correctly I remember seeing a low of 8.
  13. If I remember correctly we had about a foot of snow going into it and remained below freezing for the most part up here for about a week...but its very hazy now.
  14. I have news coverage of this event as well...I really need to dig out my old VCR stuffed behind the Christmas boxes shoved in the storage area under our stairs. That was a wonderful event!
  15. It was AMAZING! I was 9yrs old at the time and I remember snow up to my waist and Lake Goodwin froze solid. Also one morning My sister and I walked up to the bus stop (was running 1hr late due to previous snow) as it started snowing...and within 10min it was very heavy snow and the bus never made it...snowed all day...that was the best!!
